Swirling swirl

The other polymer clay cane's attempt I made with translucent fimo clay. Not bad, but still a little too dark... The lonely lentil without black in it in the upper left picture is made with translucent fimo clay and alcohol ink ^^ just to try it out.

My latest polymer clay cane attempt and resulting swirling lentils ^^ I wanted to use all the translucent fimo color I had and try new things. Well. I like the cane, it's really pretty, but once it's baked I'm not so sure anymore... I think that if it wasn't translucent it would look better. And the swirling effect wasn't necessary. I'll try something similar with not translucent clay another time.

That's when I get crazy with swirling lentils in polymer clay X'D the photos aren't very good, but they show well my burning passion for this technique.

I made these swirling lentils in polymer clay during the pansexuality week, as a tribute since one of my friend is pansexual. To be honest, the purple lentils are also made after flags : the asexuality and demisexuality flags, since I recognise myself in the last. I put two photos, the first one is made under artificial light, and the lentils are not varnished. The second one is made under natural light, and they are varnished. ^^

I made these swirling lentils for a slytherin. ^^ Emerald green, light silver and black. They nearly seem blue in the light. I made another pair with the scrap clay I got while making the striped cane, so I'm not too sad that I had to give them away. I may do them again later on thought.

I made these swirling lentils with neat scrap clay, they were very easy and fast to do, and I like the fact that it's impossible to make the exact same again. We can make ones that look alike, but never completly identical to these ones.

Those swirling lentils were made when I discovered Laura Timmins' models, they're really something ! I made one pair for a friend and one for me, since I really like the "earth and water" vibe they give. ^^ Laura Timmins blog : http://www.lauratimmins.com

I made this swirling lentils in polymer clay for my step mom, she LOVE red, and big jewelry, so I made them big and red. ^^ When I give them to her she just said "Oh, thanks!" because she isn't the type to show big signs of affection, but I've seen her wearing it at work and I'm pretty happy, cause that's her way to say to me that she really really like them. X3

I made similar swirling lentils for a friend. She love plum's color, so I tried to make it with my polymer clay, but somehow once baked the color wasn't really the same. She liked it anyway so it's okay. ^^ I made those ones for myself with the remaining canes.

Some of my recent polymer clay swirl lentils. ^^ I made smaller ones for a friend (I didn’t take a photo of them... *sob*), with full stripes like the one at the right. Pendants and even really small ones to make ear studs. And I keeped thoses, I wear them sometime <3
