i need to say something. my grandpa passed away this morning. that’s my second grandpa who won’t be there for my 18th birthday next week, who won’t be at my graduation, who won’t be able to see me follow my dreams. i’m sitting here, home alone, as my parents are with my grandma working on the aftermath, watching this show. taylor comes on and sings “soon you’ll get better”, almost as if she knew that’s what i needed. taylor seems to work in ways like that all the time. he didn’t technically get better, but he’s in a better place. i never cried so hard watching a performance. so, taylor, even though you will never read this, i just want to say thank you for being here for me tonight when i feel so alone. thank you for always being there with your music. i am forever thankful that i have something so reliable to lean back on whenever i need it. @taylorswift
