As a college student, currently really hungry with nothing to eat, I understand how hard it can be to get food. Sometimes you really just donât have the money to eat and when you do, you waste it all on fast food instead of stocking up on cheap things because youâre so tired of Ramen Noodes and canned food you could barf. So, Iâve composed a list of recipes and resources that will fit a college kidâs budget and appetite. Donât go hungry! <3

Kat Abughazaleh, a 26-year-old running for Congress in Illinois, is spending her campaign dollars in a whole new way.
"Kat Abughazaleh, a 26-year-old running for Congress in Illinoisâ 9th congressional district, isnât shy about her belief that politicians need to do things differently.
âWe have a representation problem,â the first line of the âAboutâ page on her website reads.
âAs in, about half of Congress are millionaires and people born before the Moon landing. And that's part of the reason we're in this mess: Our leaders are out of touch.â
A journalist, social media influencer, and political commentator that GQ called âa lefty,â with a mission to revitalize the Democratic party, Abughazaleh built a following online before she launched her campaign in March of 2025.Â
But now, sheâs leveraging her platform â and campaign dollars â to help people in her community before ballots are even filled in.
âMy congressional campaign is feeding people right now,â she starts in a recent TikTok video.Â
âPart of the reason I decided to run was because I saw how much money gets wasted in politics, and I thought, âWhat if we spent it differently?ââ
She adds that the campaign is focused on âdirect action and mutual aid,â emphasizing that she wanted her run for office to be âdual-purpose,â in which she can get her message out and help people in the process.Â
Itâs a stark pivot from the traditional way of campaigning in the United States, which often includes pricey fundraising galas, attack ads, big billboards, and perhaps the most criticized and unpopular feature: massive donations from private businesses and interest groups.Â
Abughazaleh has publicly congratulated the former incumbent of this seat â 80-year-old Rep. Jan Schakowsky, who has held the title since 1999, the year Abughazaleh was born â for her âdecades of service.âÂ
Rep. Schakowsky will not seek reelection, but Abughazaleh called for others to run, hoping to participate in the âfirst competitive Democratic primary in the District since 1998.â
Abughazaleh has also shared that the average donation her campaign receives is $31. And according to GQ, 1,000 people signed up to volunteer for her campaign within a week of her initial announcement.
And while that volunteering does include marketing, canvassing, and getting the word out, it mostly adds up to actual on-the-ground volunteer work to help people in the local community.
âOur kick-off event, for instance, didnât charge $500 a plate,â Abughazaleh shared in her TikTok. âPeople just had to bring a box of pads or tampons, which were donated to Chicagoâs period collective. By the end of the night, we had gathered over 5,600 period products, which went to people who canât afford them.â
Most recently, the campaign hosted a food drive for a local community fridge program.
âWe asked folks to come out and donate food in exchange for a campaign yard or window sign,â Abughazaleh said. âAnd by the end of the day, we were able to fully stock the empty pantry and fill the fridge with frozen meals, produce, and eggs. Thatâs feeding people right now.â
âDonât worry, we checked to make sure this is legal," she added. "And it is."
The campaign has also launched a High School Public Serve Grant program that encourages local youth to submit ideas for how to make the community better, and Abughazalehâs campaign will support it with money, materials, volunteers, and her online platform...
âSomething youâll rarely see is concrete help in their communities during the campaign,â she said. âAnd frankly, to me, that just seems stupid. Not only do you get to help people â supposedly what youâre running to do â but it also shows what youâre about, instead of just providing lip service.â ...
âIf every campaign adopted this model, then we wouldnât be wasting money every single cycle. Every city, town, and village across America would be improved by their election process, and I think it would also get people more involved,â she said.
âWe have local folks who have never voted in an election, but they joined our volunteer Discord server because they want to help, they feel like they have something to vote for.â
For those who might be inspired enough to run for office with this model, she says: Full steam ahead.
âFrankly, I would love it if other campaigns took our model. Use it, pretend itâs yours, I donât care!â she wrapped up her TikTok.Â
âPair with organizations in your community that have been doing the work, talk with local experts, and try to spearhead any initiatives you can to show your values and help your constituents. Itâs really that easy.â
going off the reblogs on that post, @90-ghost got deactivated only within the last few hours
ahmed's blog was vital for helping verify palestinians' fundraisers. now that his blog is gone, there's so many broken links that are going to cast doubt on if a fundraiser is valid or not
he wasn't aware of this. @staff has deleted a palestinian blog for the crime of trying to help gazans stay alive. spread the word and let them know they have sentenced people to death.

Ghost: "hey, are you okay? / your blog is gone"
Ahmed: "Hey / Shit"
Ghost: "not your doing then?"
Ahmed: "No not me"
Ghost: "fuck. / appeal? i'll contact people"
Ahmed canât currently promote his familyâs fundraiser so itâs more vital than ever to keep donating to keep them alive. Literally even $1 helps đ

Donât scroll past this. Kylie Armstrong was diagnosed with breast cancer and these small dimples were the only signs. She posted the image on Facebook so everyone knows that âthat breast cancer is not always a detectable lump.â Hereâs how Kylie is doing today.
(If youâre not sure how to do a self breast exam, instructions can be found at BreastCancer.org.)
âI made my whole outfit from waste materials for my label Mola Mola â the coat is old canvas and pillowcases, collar is hand-painted and beaded from scraps, pants are thrifted and cut to look like wings with red panels and block prints. Bag is Coach lent by a dear friend. Boots are thrifted Heaven by Marc Jacobs. I'm always learning from artists like Janelle Abbott who turn waste into showstoppers and honor their materials. I love color, mixing prints and textures, and big silhouettes.â
I donât think itâs acknowledged enough that Aran Ryan chose to go by his real name in boxing. While initially it doesnât seem all that special, I think it actually shows a softer side to Aran. In SPO, itâs mentioned he was canonically bullied for his mother deciding to spell his name as âAranâ, rather than the typical âAaronâ. Instead of changing his name or going by another alias for boxing, he fought off his bullies and stuck with his REAL name. I think that shows he truly loves his mother

I had to make the obvious French joke with the French man. Also in my personal experience, French horn players were always the weakest in terms of playability so itâs fitting for glass joe
Von Kaiser- trumpetÂ
I know trumpet players are usually associated with having big egos, but I think people tend to forget trumpets are very well-respected instruments, especially in the army. Since Kaiser is a veteran, it would make sense he probably played the trumpet
Disco Kid- tenor sax
Disco Kid is a very jazzy guy, so obviously heâd play one of the jazziest instruments. Heâs not an alto because I feel like altos are usually more prissy, meanwhile tenor saxes can still jam but they get along with everyone
King Hippo- drums
This one is based on the fact King Hippo always bangs on his stomach, kinda like a drum. Plus heâs really huge, so I feel like playing the drums would be easiest for him, as he would have an easy grip on the mallets
Piston Hondo- xylophone
I put him on xylophone mainly for the xylophone sound effects that play right before his Hondo Rush. Plus he kinda has a whole âspeedâ thing going on (the Hondo Rush is a bunch of fast punches, also he runs faster than a bullet train) and normally you need to play the xylophone very fast to keep up with tempo
Bear Hugger- bassoon
All the bassoon players Iâve met were jolly and kind, and bear hugger is one of the friendliest boxers in the WVBA. Plus theyâre kinda similar in way? Bassoons are usually seen as a âbass line instrumentâ and usually forgotten, but in a lot of pieces thereâs usually a bassoon solo where itâs actually more important than it seems; which I feel is also how Bear Hugger is treated (dude was in the arcade PO, SPO, and punch out Wii I feel like he should get more recognition than he gets)
Great Tiger- bari sax
Bari saxes seem to have this sense of âknowing theyâre better than everyone else because theyâre skilledâ. Great Tiger seems to have a bit of an ego similar to that, and so I feel like bari fits him the most. He would be a skilled player, but he would def rub it inÂ
Don Flamenco- alto sax
Alto saxes are probably the most romantic instrument there is, and Don Flamenco is the most romantic boxers out of everyone. Plus, alto saxes all seem to have this flamboyance about them
Aran Ryan- flute/ piccoloÂ
In his theme, the flute is very present, it practically carries the melody. I think Aran would be one of those guys that takes playing the flute and piccolo with pride, and would try to break the standard that only girls play those instruments.
Soda Popinski- tuba
Kinda like bassoons, tuba players are always so whimsical and chill. From what Iâve seen, Soda Popinski is usually depicted as a big scary Russian man, but to me it seems like heâs really kind-hearted, and only gets angry due to the fact heâs being drugged with all those sodas. I think Sodas wouldnât mind he would normally just play the bass line, heâs just happy to be playing musicÂ
Bald Bull- oboe
There seems to be a running trend of big aggressive men playing dainty little instruments. Itâs similar reasoning as Aran Ryan, Bald Bullâs theme seems to have an oboe carrying the melody, so ofc heâs on oboe. Plus I think Bald Bull does have the ability to be calm and composed, and I think playing the oboe (an instrument that super expensive and requires careful usage) would calm him.
Super Macho Man- trombone
Imo trombones players are the ones with the biggest ego (also the most annoying). SMM probably would just be ok on the trombone, but he will definitely start blasting as soon as he got the melody in a piece and would never learn to shut up.Â
Mr. Sandman- clarinet
Philadelphia has a history of very rich and jazzy music, and I feel like Sandman is the guy to play the clarinet over the saxophone. The clarinet is also a pretty important instrument to jazz music, and jazz is a pretty important part of black culture. Mr. Sandman is one of the less stereotypical boxers so heâs less connected to his Philadelphian culture, and I think playing clarinet is his way of getting more connected.Â
Little Mac- contra bass
This one is like Aran and Bald Bull, except the opposite. Since little Mac is shortest of the bunch, I think itâd be funny that he happens to play one of the biggest instruments thatâs requires him to stand. Not only is it comical but also kinda fits with the whole underdog theme, despite his size he still manages to play the contraÂ
Doc Louis- conductorÂ
I put Doc as the conductor since conductors are usually just band members that retired, and got promoted to teaching band members. Since doc teaches little Mac to box, he would probably teach others how to play an instrumentÂ
