Basic Background: In the most subtle shift between a seductive smile and a bargainer’s smirk, Faux, a half-elf bard, charms most anyone to see things her way, through thickly coded sentences, bookended with “darlings” and “dears.” Her rapier is as much of a weapon as her winsome laugh, coupled with a toss of her long sunset curls. Pruned by her sever aunt, she honed her art in songs, secrets, and subterfuge by growing up in the Minstrel’s Motif, a traveling musical troupe. As an expert in the spotlight, Faux is no stranger to the dark. She is well versed in performance and persuasion, knowing how to manipulate more than instruments. Armed with her charming wit, her trusty fiddle, and an intimate desire for change, Faux set off into the world to compose her own tune.

Basic Background: A haunting combination of sheltered and assassin-trained, Finch takes on the world with bright, curious eyes and a sharp, nocked arrow. She fiercely protects all she has grown an attachment to, despite her small frame and naive spirit, and finds beauty in the strangest, and sometimes eeriest, of souls. Abducted during a raid on her village in wartime, Finch was separated from her family and locked in the dark cavern cells to endure brutal beatings and disregard. She grew up with bets on her small shoulders, set against other prisoners to fight, often, to the death. Her cellmate and recognizer of her bright spirit, a wounded drow rogue named Ether, took it upon himself to protect the imprisoned wood elf. Doubting either of them would ever see sunlight again, Ether twisted the world to be something better than it was, trading profanity for poetry, suffering for strength, and murder for mercy. Nearly seventy years into her captivity, during a dragon attack on the Orc city, Finch made her escape, Ether making a faulty promise to meet her again. Upon her escape, Finch found the world hateful of her ragged, scar-ridden form. Through a set of fateful events, however, Finch would soon find a rag-tag family that would give her a place in the world she so deeply misunderstood.
