Hospital Visit || Larissa & Carolina
Late night talks over tea, or coffee, or 80’s movie marathons that turned into sleepovers, caused both of them to share quite a few secrets, even their darkest ones. So Larissa knew about Carolina’s first trauma, and what she went through with Travis. There was no way she’d let that happen again. “Damn right we are.” Carolina agreed. “And I’m sure you have Damien panicking now, but you wouldn’t see it if he were.” She knew that Damien was different with others than he was with her. The Damien she’d met the first time. And she didn’t mind, because he didn’t treat her that way anymore.
”Hunky hunks?! Larissa!” She coughed after she said that, the air expended making her throat hurt, and her lungs feel ablaze. But things were better after a drink of water, and the blonde never failed at raising her spirits, even when she was in a rather dark mood. She laughed. It was almost comical to see Larissa so interested. “Truth? Well…I don’t hate ferris wheels anymore. I’m not a……” She made hand gestures instead of using the ‘v’ word “……anymore. And this morning he confessed that he loved me. And defined us as ‘in a relationship, preferably with labels’.” She wondered if the bright blush could be seen in her cheeks, as pale as she currently was. She didn’t know, but she could definitely feel it.
Larissa knew Damien better than Carie would think. Sure, not like Carolina did. She also knew it wasn't ever going to know him like Carolina did. She smiled as she sang to herself 'Carolina and Damien sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G!' "I am sure he will be fine. I will tell him if you would like? Or, maybe you would like to do that? I know I tend to over do it, but I honestly just want to help make this as easy on you as possible. On you both" She pointed out smiling encouragingly.
"Oh crap! I am sorry! I didn't think funny would hurt that bad. I'm sorry, babe." she said as she rubbed the back of her knuckles in a soothing way. Larissa smiled at that. 'Well, well, well, Damien Warren... you may just be what my sweet Carie needed.' She thought to herself. Larissa tried not to look like the cat that ate the cream. Letting the water sooth before speaking "You know I have no love life to speak of; so, as one of my best friends you have to let me live vicariously through you! So, was he any good?!!" She waggled her eyebrows at the other woman again. She knew her chances of getting an actual answer was slim to none. "HE SAID THE "L" WORD!!" She used air quotes when saying L. "Holy smokes!" She watched as Carolina's cheeks flush slightly. "And labels to boot!" A big smile stretched across her face. "I am happy for you both. He seems... centered. Less broody, still broody... just.. oh I don't know!" She she chuckled as she waved her hands in a dismissive gesture of her silliness. If there was one thing Larissa was sure of it was if this relationship was as good for them on the inside, that an outsider could see the difference in both of them, then she knew it was good.
