Elden ring fans (but also fromsoft fans at large) hate women (well understood to be true) as well as effeminate men (easy to extrapolate from the previous point) and that makes any attempt to separate Radagon from Marika very insidious to me. As in this idea that he isnāt allowed to be a character unless any part of him that could be interpreted as a woman is erased.
Same goes for Miquella and St. Trina. The ladder gets woobified into this flat concept of āsleepy girl plantā, and the former has become so vilified that any attempt at true analysis that even gives him the slightest bit of sympathy is written off completely. Before their debut in the DLC, Miq was viewed as āone of the good onesā even though it was agreed there was some shady shit about him, but the moment his queerness was front and center, he doesnāt get that extended hand anymore, and that upsets me a lot.
