I've got the wind in my hair

      ☼ The city the young girl found herself in was vastly different from the security of her enclosed tower - it almost felt overwhelming, but mostly, it made the blonde frightful of her mother's reaction once she found an empty tower. Small fingers intertwined with golden locks as the anxiety set in her stomach.

      ☼ ❝ Hi, I'm Rapunzel, are you lost? ❞ It was nice to find someone that might be in the same situation as her, it would be nicer if neither had to be lost, but at least they could be lost together.

       THERE’S AN IMMEDIATE CONFLICT IN HER AS SHE AWAKENS – opal embedded in her chest sparking to life but holding no power  (  an odd feeling – one that churns the anger inside of her because this is what she was warned about; her power had been taken from her  ). conflict lies in the fact she’s been in a relationship with her best friend for the past year in this place – the best friend that LIED TO HER, left out this little detail of the future && it mixes so poorly with the distaste she has held in her mouth from being overshadowed by the princess her entire life, taken for granted, not shown gratitude for all she’s done, how she’d given up her life for HER just to have her judgement doubted && her hand scarred irreparably.

       ❝   you LIED to me ! was this all – what ? – some kind of scheme to make sure i didn’t take the moonstone back home ? well, guess what, blondie – i’ve got it now && i know everything. now how about i give you one more chance to tell the truth, huh ? was this…was this whole past year here a lie just like everything else ?   ❞

      ☼ It had been heartbreaking enough to have had suffered Cass' betrayal once. So much so that at the first opportunity to turn away from that reality and fall into their old dinamic, Rapunzel gladly embraced it. She ran headstrong into it, gripped it tight and kept her selfish secrets close to her chest, never indicating a moment where she might disclose all of this. Cass' heritage, her taking the moonstone that now shone a mocking blue in her chest, all of it had been tucked away, neatly folded up and pocketed somewhere where she hoped no one would ever see it. But Cass had seen it, and the words she said finally hit the princess in full.

      Cass knew.

          “W-where am I?” From a fantastical forest to a bizarre city—if he had to choose, he preferred the latter. “Is this place part of my dream world, too…? Oh, wait! That’s right! Where did…?” His gaze gradually widens as he begins to frantically look about, almost as if in search of something or someone.

      ☼  ❝ Are you lost too? ❞ Bright emerald eyes had scanned her surroundings, taking in unfamiliar sights and sounds; the city shooting up around her was unlike anything she had seen - ok, so everything was unlike anything she’d ever seen, but nothing looked familiar, and that gripped her heart in a vice. At least the company of someone obviously not a sharp-toothed ruffian was a relief.

      🍳 Rapunzel’s canon point had been moved back to her childhood, she’s somewhat calmer than her adult self, a little more cautious but just as compassionate and caring.

Ah, another familiar face- this was Rapunzel. Vaati greeted her with his usual grin, as though the disasters going on around them wasn’t a bother- mostly because they weren’t entirely. He could deal with some shaking earth, at least. All he had to do was float up off the ground.

However, not everyone was so lucky. “There’s more stable ground over in that direction, you know. Wandering about here could get you into some trouble.” After all, there were buildings falling when the large quakes hit. Someone could get hurt.

      ☼ ❝ Vaati!!! ❞ Any concern the princess had eased at the sight of her friend, even if the earth beneath her feet shifted and lurched forward, making it difficult to keep her footing, it was nice to see a smiling face. 

      The rising and falling of the water brought with it renewed shock to the princess, the cold drenching through her dress and hair, weighing them uncomfortably, the currents tugging her this way and that as she part swam, part clung desperately to stationary objects. She was eager to gain purchase in an impulsive scramble to get to Cassandra, before her fears took her over. 

“I, uh… Probably not a good sign that I’VE never heard of Corona, either.” He still managed to crack a little nervous smile, the tips of his ears blushing PINK– this whole thing wasn’t just nerve-wracking, but slightly embarrassing. How many times was he going to mess this spell up?

“Maybe?” He appreciated the hopeful outlook, really he did. “Um, I’m… I-I’m IAN, by the way. Sorry that I kinda just… DROPPED IN on you like this.”

      ☼ Always eager to meet new friends, Rapunzel instantly reached out to take Ian's hand and shook it vigorously with both of her own. ❝ I'm Rapunzel, and this- ❞ She raised her left shoulder, where the best chameleon in all the kingdoms sat comfortably. 

      ❝ -This is Pascal~! ❞ Pascal tilted his head back in a quick fluid motion, a sort of what's up? but his expression was that of someone hard to impress and ready to fight for the blonde should she need it. ❝ Isn't he so cute?! ❞ Then as excitedly as she had taken his hand, she let out a quick little ❝ Oh! ❞ And urged him further into the city, pulling him as she tended to do with most people. 

— ✿ A small smile crept onto the child’s face. “Thanks, Rapunzel.” Maybe that was what she needed, just someone telling her. She did only have Angry, but she could only do so much. Once she heard the princess’ idea, the ginger’s smile grew bigger.

“Really? I would love that!” The child let out a small squeal before hugging Rapunzel tighter. “Thank you so much, princess! You’re the best!” She was prepared, in case they would get angry. But maybe they won’t. After all, she was a helpless kid.
