the docks have always filled scamp with a profound sense of CALM. whether it’s the rhythmic clang of the buoys or the prospect of an endless horizon, the thief might never know. but the fact he has ended up there, on the very same night as the talon, strikes him as something more than a simple CIRCUMSTANCE.

silently, he drops down beside the assassin. where there might once have been TERROR, there is none to be found. if trevor had wanted to end the thief’s life, opportunities have been and gone, and so the younger blonde feels no hesitation when it comes to taking a seat beside the killing machine.

‘ what’cha thinking about ? ’ he chimes with his standard childish cadence. he knows trevor will unlikely give him an honest answer, but his curiosity could be taken quite innocently. thank you dimpled smile. there is enough space between them that he couldn’t be accused of encroaching on the talon’s personal space, but enough to suggest that the intimate nights they have shared haven’t gone UNACKNOWLEDGED...

“     Everything smells like trees.     ” While his eyes were screaming I hate you with a fiery passion one could only match by entering THE CORE OF THE SUN ITSELF, pearly whites were on full display as the fakest smile to ever grace a face remained in place, disappearing only long enough for cafeteria coffee cup to block the view.

The shock kept Blue utterly still for a moment after the strike had landed with enough intensity any normal human would have been knocked unconscious or even concussed ...

Blue wasn't a normal human, however, and as he stood there, the realization that this being had been intending to get the love of his life swept through him. Should one be paying attention, they'd see the way steam began to not rise ... but fall from his form, his shoulders beginning to shake ... though not from fear.

But from laughter.

With each passing moment, Blue's laughter rose until it rose to near hysteria, throwing his head back as he faced his palms towards the sky, fingers splayed. And in one fell swoop, his hands closed into fists, and he jerked himself forward, eyes wide and his pupils aglow ... and with the action? A literal explosion of fire erupted around him, hiding the way the smoke continued to grow along the ground.
