for the event she’s gonna be lil bit evil -- as a treat !! so like for a starter with moonst.one cass !!

Lifting from the water and pushing his drenched hair back out of his hair, Eugene had missed the taste of salt on his lips. The waves pushed up against him as they crashed up against his body and threatened to topple him over. Summer felt like metamorphosis, like things were finally alive again around here. Now maybe in part he should have waited to run straight for the waves, but waiting in the water for Cassandra to wrap up her guard case just was too much to resist. Consider him, impatient.

It’s not until he sees her standing on top of the sand bank, looking out for him, that he begins his trudge back up onto shore. An afternoon at the beach? A special treat, only made more special with some special company. With a spread already out– blankets, drinks, and more neatly set up because anything less than a thoroughly prepared date would be a travesty on his behalf– he spreads his arms up and waves for her attention as he walks back up to the campout.

“Look who’s finally freed from the jaws of responsibility!” Eugene yelled up the beach, “I missed you!”

He pointed  at her as she approached, not shy in his affection nor his enthusiasm.

       SHE HAS NO PROBLEM WITH TENDING TO RESPONSIBILITY -- it keeps her focused, keeps her busy && allows her to feel useful in some way  (  something she needs to keep up to stave off the creeping insecurities she has to battle even still  ). though the chance to spend time with him is nice -- aches for her to finish quickly so she can see him  (  what an odd feeling -- to feel so attached to someone, especially him  ).

      && once she’s done && ready for the beach -- after seeing him wave enthusiastically -- she makes her way down to him with a shake of obsidian curls, a smile pulling on red lips at his ridiculous display. fingers make their way to brush across his cheek, cupping his face as she leans up to press a gentle kiss to his lips in greeting.

       THERE’S AN IMMEDIATE CONFLICT IN HER AS SHE AWAKENS -- opal embedded in her chest sparking to life but holding no power  (  an odd feeling -- one that churns the anger inside of her because this is what she was warned about; her power had been taken from her  ). conflict lies in the fact she’s been in a relationship with her best friend for the past year in this place -- the best friend that LIED TO HER, left out this little detail of the future && it mixes so poorly with the distaste she has held in her mouth from being overshadowed by the princess her entire life, taken for granted, not shown gratitude for all she’s done, how she’d given up her life for HER just to have her judgement doubted && her hand scarred irreparably.
