honestly, yes the season could’ve been better. I mean I think 13 episodes were not enough to put everything and every character on the right line. But still, it was good, really. Voltron Legendary Defender was a good show and a good example of a reboot in an era where most reboots are mediocre at best and it doesn’t deserve to be treated like trash just because its fandom is complete cancer.

Unpopular Voltron Opinion: IT WASN’T BAD

So, I just finished Voltron, and, I gotta say, it was a wild ride. I spent a lot of it just waiting for the ‘Voltron ruining moment’ that so many people talk about, and the moments that ‘caused some of my ‘friends’ to tell me to not watch this season in the first place. Well, I did. Because I’ve been in love with Voltron for years! It has helped me with so many things in my life, given me hope while I was hopeless, and, I spent the entire season just waiting to be disappointed. I was ready and waiting for it. I was fearful of it. And you know what? I feel like I missed out on something BEAUTIFUL because I was waiting for something that NEVER EVEN HAPPENED. Voltron is getting all this hate and backlash about the final season. Could it have been improved upon? Yeah. Were these mistakes made? Yeah. But, this finale was a beautiful fucking tribute and wrap up to a WONDERFUL series that, while it’s had it’s stumbles and pitfalls, has been a BLESSING to everyone who ever has and ever will check it out. But, I fear we’re going to lose a lot of people who might have wanted to check it out, because we, as a fandom, can’t get over ourselves and are ruining it for each and every other person out there. Spoiler alert: Klance. Didn’t. Happen.Yeah, yeah, a shame. I’m a Klance shipper myself, but, you know what? I never actually expected it to be endgame, because of the drama this fandom has created. Death threats over this ship? The pure toxicity? I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Klance had, at one point, been end game, but taken off the table because of US. And yeah, the ship that did happen, was rushed, but it was still beautiful in the end, for what it was. And I’d be lying like a rug if I didn’t say that the finale had me crying like a child. IN A GOOD WAY. Why must we ruin everything?Why are we telling people to avoid getting into this beautiful masterpiece? Because we didn’t get our way? When we were the ones who, more likely than not, ruined it for ourselves? We’re going to send death threats, because we didn’t get our ship? Honestly, I’m disgusted with this fandom in its entirety. And, I understand why we have such a bad name for ourselves. If you don’t agree with some decisions with this season, that’s fine. There are some I didn’t agree with either. But, if you’re going to say Voltron was ‘ruined’ by this season, then you may need to check yourselves. And for those of you who are leaving this fandom because of season 8? Good fucking riddance, each and every one of you. This fandom will be so, SO much better off without you. And yeah, I’m ready for hate and death threats myself, but, I don’t fucking care. I just wanted to say that, THIS WAS A GOOD FUCKING SEASON. I’m glad it ended this way! I cried, I screamed, I smiled, I laughed. It was a great season to a wonderful series. Remember to log out and close off of all instances of Tumblr on the 17th, and have a good life.
