Language of Obsessions

I once did press for an artist who had their own tv show and people would constantly ask if I’d seen it (I had not) and everything weird that would happen on stage would get excused away in my mind like “oh, it’s probably a plot line on the tv show” or “that stranger in the crowd they keep focusing on is probably a character from the show” and I can imagine in universe it’s the same for Lestat and Interview With The Vampire. Especially when Lestat calls out Armand and sings Big Boss. I can just image the venue staff whispering to each other like “Is this a tie in with the book? I didn’t read it.” Some of the more social staff members directly ask fans what the whole book is about and how it ties into the show they’re about to watch, nodding along, pretending to understand the Loustat drama. The funniest part would probably be when they get home, look up the book, and find out Lestat is not a rockstar in it making this whole act so much more confusing.

no like lestat being angry/hurt that louis didn’t answer his calls/check on him after he was shot and STILL dropping everything because louis said he needs him. he dropped everything and immediately went to louis and went in to see if it’s her. oh my loustat
