Patron: Where are the books for girls?

Your son’s first crush might be the rowdiest boy in a story about boys doing “boy things”. Your daughter might want to be with the gentle seamstress who makes the magic cloak, not be her. Your tomboy might be a boy, and he might identify with the protagonist’s science-loving crush, not her. 

Your kid is your kid, and they will be who they are meant to be. Give them all the boy/girl books you want, but you can’t control how they’ll feel about them, or what they’ll take away from the story.

-exotic pet ownership ((servals, foxes, coyotes, monkeys, etc))

-vegan diets for carnivorous pets 

-obese animals being seen as cute

-”cute” predator/prey interactions ((cats with rodents, snakes with small animals, etc))

-getting pets high 

-intentionally putting animals into uncomfortable situations for the sake of it being funny or cute

Outdoor cats massacre wild bird populations, even if your cat doesn’t bring dead animals home they are likely still hunting. Not only this but cats are in danger themselves from other wild animals and even other cats.

Even that aside, the leading cause of death for cats is basically them being outside. Cars, injury, even assault by humans… The outside world isn’t a safe place for cats.

I used to hope this wasn’t the case, because like many people seeing a cat when I go outside brightens up my day… Sadly it isn’t worth the risk for the cats, time catches up with them and most cats die from their escapades, even without factoring the huge damage they do to local wildlife in…

That being said, it is untrue that cats will be unhappy inside! Not only can you take them into your garden supervised if you wish, but you can stimulate and entertain cats like any other animals! By playing with them and providing toys.
