The collection "Impérial" is about channelling #noble #elegance, #luxurious #aesthetic and #classy #femininity.

I have no time machine to travel back in time but I can create a modern #majestic #style in #royal hues 💜🤍🩶✨ inspired by #aristocracy. This #purple #velvet and pink #jacquard #romper “Josephine,” pearl trimmed and embellished with a #jewelled #belt is a highlighted piece specifically designed to pay homage to Empress Josephine, the ultimate #fashion icon ahead of her time. The glitter evening look is enhanced to the utmost with a gorgeous #lace #train interwoven with metallic threads and complete with a velvet #camellia #choker.

Fresh out of the kiln, the glossy #glaze finally shines ✨ and the #colours ❤️💛💙 come to life. My finished #ceramic piece inspired by Yves Saint Laurent’s #Mondrian dresses is a delight to see. La Vie En Art 👗🎨🎹🎻🎭💃 – Unleash Creativity with Ceramic Painting 🖌️ at L’Atelier Nuances (throwback to March 28) To welcome the lively spring season with arms wide open 🤗 we art ❤️ers went for a genuinely unique form of self-expression – #ceramic #painting that allowed #creativity and #artistic feelings to fly freely through personalizing a ceramic piece chosen at the #workshop. My #inspiration for painting on this favourite bow shaped 🎀 wall decor came from Yves Saint Laurent’s #Mondrian dresses launched in 1965 paying tribute to the Dutch artist (Piet Mondrian 1872 – 1944). I reinterpreted the combinations of the 3 primary #colours ❤️💛💙 and #geometric #patterns interspersed with black #lines as in Composition in Red, Yellow, Blue and Black (1921) and re-applied them to my ceramic #art. I reckon the effect is quite pleasing.

A heartfelt thank you to the #atelier for preparing the beautiful and delicious aperitif platters 🧀🍷 for our group. And now I’m very much eager to see how the finished piece would look like when it comes out fresh of the kiln 🤩 (to be continued)

When #luxury meets #fairytales in the iconic #Parisian #carousel 🎠: - It isn’t uncommon to find carousels in some big cities in France especially in her capital. Chanel once built a double-decker merry-go-round carousel in the centre of Grand Palais for the fashion house’s Fall 2008 presentation. In my hometown, I still remember there used to be a vintage carousel in Lai Chi Kok Amusement Park which was closed down 29 years ago. The carousel horses spinning endlessly to the #whimsical music for me symbolize #childhood #innocence, #joy and #playfulness yet not without #elegance.

#Design project in progress 🎨🖌 Today at my work desk is the #sketch of my newly-designed Robe de Poan (#peacock #dress) inspired by the #dazzling #display of the blue peacock. This most #resplendent creature with #iridescent #plumage in a #radiant mix of #blue, #green, and #yellow #hues 🩵💚💛 that only God could create has triggered my imagination and sparked my desire to praise HIS works with my #artistic interpretation. For this #winter season, I’m channelling #majestic #elegance with a #luxury, #exquisite #gown that consists of a black #velvet #bodice with a royal blue #satin bow adorned with a sapphire to go with an #embroidered #feather full long train #skirt with its #streamlined #silhouette emulating the #spectacular #beauty of the peacock #tail. I reckon the #texture would be cozy and warm, too.

La Vie En Art 👗🎨🎹🎻🎭💃 - Chocolatey Weekend: Visit to MUSCO, le Musée du Chocolat Sève à Lyon 🍫 (25 octobre)

#Art is 👍 and edible art is even better 😋 As a #chocoholic, I was thrillingly excited to explore the art and philosophy of #chocolate making 🍫 with our fellow members at #MUSCO, the factory-museum established by one of the top ten #chocolatiers and #pâtissiers in #France, #RichardSève from #Lyon and his family who have been dedicated to preserving and celebrating #traditional #savoirfaire and #craftsmanship.

As soon as I entered the delicious #cocoa aroma-filled premises, it felt like all of my senses got joyfully awakened. The informative #museum introduces visitors to the full chocolate-making process. The intricate bean to bar journey from selecting the best cocoa beans from the plantations in South America, Madagascar and São Tomé, fermenting, roasting, grinding, conching, tempering to packaging the finished products is meticulously monitored by the master chocolatier and his team. Behind every chocolate #creation, there are countless hours of work combined with #artisanal #expertise.

As a wrap-up, we savoured a nice cup of #chocolatchaud #sève ☕ on the spot with the greatest appreciation ever 🤎 to not only the #taste but also their #devotion to #precision in every sip.
