And I actually think this was somewhat foreshadowed in Sinsmas. At least as far as Loona goes, with Stolas' presence meaning that she can go on more missions.

I also think that it makes the most sense for Moxxie since he has passions he really wants to pursue outside of IMP, like writing and theatre. Outside of Stolas, who is currently dependent on Blitz, No one else really seems to have any particular goals for their future career in mind. I guess Blitz and horses but I don't think that's something he's thought super practically about. It would also be a good way to contrast him from his father, if not even give a reason for Crimson to get involved in the plot again, in some way. It'd also be an interesting parallel between Crim putting work before family and Moxxie putting family before work, which could have been foreshadowed in the ending of Whacked off.

Being the one who calls out with a sick tot, who cooks the tea, or who makes the pack up, and get them up and ready for school.

(Moxxie does seem to the one to prefer to cook and bake. Though Millie did cook the leach, it's not just Moxxie. But he does seem to more of a home maker of the two).

But I can't see him or Millie needing to quit work after the baby to born. And after Millie recovered from the birth.

Sallie May seems likely to want to helping out covering part of Millie's maternity leave though, when she is unable to work and needs to rest.

(Sallie seems like she'd wouldn't mind a change of pace for a few months, but so far she seems like the farm is what she loves doing. With murder being more of a hobby. And Millie feels like she only takes being told to rest by her sister).

But they unlikely to need one of them to stay home for child care, because IMP is a small family run business.

Blitz would do any adjustment M&M need to stay at IMP.

Like they can just bring baby in with them, and Stolas could mind them when everyone is out on missions.

When their not, there's 4 parents who to watch one baby, making it easy for who ever is free to sort the wean.

(+ Loona if she wants to. She does like the big sister role so probably more playing with them).

I can definitely see Moxxie doing more theater outside of work as hobby, or even dragging Stolas to do stuff together.

But can't see it being because of Moxxie needing to becoming a stay at home dad.

For 1 I really don't think they're functional able to take the hit of lossing a second paycheck if they don't have to.

And 2.... I love Moxxie, but he'd be bad at baby care when they would be deciding who quits.

Let me explain, Moxxie loves children, but he has the lest experience out of all of IMP. (Loona has more experience around kids than he does).

At the moment Moxxie is deadly to children.

He isn't safe to leave alone with a baby.

If Millie had to do the first few months alone at home in the work day, Moxxie wouldn't learn the skills to switch off, and do the bulk of childcare after that.

There's not enough time after work and at weekends, to build up those skills from Moxxie's abysmal level. Especially with Millie being a first time parent too.

Millie will have some basics, from being the eldest in big family; like able to change a nappy, or knowing how to give a bottle.

But she's just not going to have the full knowledge, or being able to teach what she does know to Moxxie, with them both dealing with sleep deprivation.

I do think Moxxie wouldn't be the most functional caretaker, so that's a point of interest for me, too. In retrospect, the idea of Moxxie as a stay at home would probably be later into the series, like, latter season 5- I think there's been a decent amount of foreshadowing about him pursuing a career outside of IMP, and i could see him having a job that would allow him to be at home with the child, that's moreso what I meant by stay at home.

I do think initially that Moxxie wouldn't just up and leave IMP, both in terms of finances and also his respect for Blitz, I meant it as more of a long term thing. But yeah, I do agree that Millie would probably have to do the initial caretaking period- honestly, the post was mostly a shower thought.
