Scott was highly concerned when he walked into your apartment hearing small sobs come from your bed bedroom, immediately moving across the rooms to see what was wrong. but he didn’t expect you to be sobbing curled up look down at your phone, and when he asked you what was wrong you simply turned the phone around revealing a photo of Liam just after Scott had first bit him. “He was so cute and young” y/n sobbed harder.
“but i don’t want you to go” said the crying girl “please” Y/n was a tough girl- She had a hard exterior and came off as closed off and cold but right now, she was a little girl, crying for her father to stay with her. “i’m sorry” Derek had managed to croak out, he had never seen her so heart broken but her had to go- and he couldn’t take her with him- “no- dad, just please! I love you!”
Derek had never heard his daughter say that to anyone- he felt selfish and cruel, his daughter was before him begging for him to stay with her, telling him that she loved him and the only thing that he could say was that he was sorry

You hugged the useless flashlight as your body clung to the wall, hiding in the shadows of the house. It was bad enough that Stiles dragged you out of bed at 2AM for another lead, but this was not what either of you were expecting. You were both aware of the supernatural world that existed inside your own. There were werewolves, werecoyotes, banshees, wendigos, kitsunes, nogitsunes, druids, werejaguar—damn, that list could go on forever—but the last thing either of you thought you would ever find to be real were ghosts. Tortured souls that lurked in the shadows of the night, waiting to take their vengeance on any poor sap that happened to cross their path. You. You were that poor sap.

Okay, so I don’t usually rec fics, even though I probably should since there are some really good ones out there, but if there was ever a fic that needed to be recced it’s this one. I don’t think there’s one thing that I don’t like about this story, I can safely say that it’s my favorite Newtmas fic ever written.Â
The format is initially confusing but I actually ended up loving it by the end. I loved the characterization of everyone but most especially for Newt and Thomas. The author somehow pulls off making them so soft and adorable while with each other but still makes them badass as hell and it never seems forced or cheesy, which is something I dislike in fics. Newt and Thomas come off perfectly as two teenage boys falling in love while in a apocalyptic world. I want to create some kind of fanfiction award to give solely to this author. I can’t recommend this fic enough.Â
