I'm coming here again with the risk of being irritating that Noshiko and Kira deserved better. In this context, I'm talking about her relationship with Kira.
It was implied in the show that Kira's relationship with her mother was strained after she found out about what they were and their abilities. It'd would've been amazing if the story delved deeper into their relationship and Kira's mistrust of Noshiko. Let me explain it in the way I can.
After Kira sights her spirit form in her reflection or whatever, she starts manifesting dreams. At first, she thought it was fake, but the dreams keep getting real the more evident her power is. These dreams feel like memories, holes and tears in her head that can she can't piece together for some reason. Then Noshiko tells her and Scott the story of void. So that led to a realisation; those dreams were actually memories torn away from her.
She tells Scott this as she starts remembering everything. So Kira's childhood always seemed vague to her. She couldn't seem to piece her early childhood memories together, and the reason is because Noshiko kept tearing those memories away from her. And rhe reason was because Kira couldn't control her powers at such a young age. She was very obvious, which meant she was attracting attention, most of those being enemies, particularly old enemies that Noshiko has made over the centuries. Infact, a particular time, they were attacked in their home, and it almost killed Kira. She healed, of course, but the trauma must've been horrible. So Noshiko takes those memories away from and makes her forget ever exhibiting those powers. But not only did Noshiko take away her memories, she also dampened Kira's powers and tampered with it in such a way it'll never show itself again. Noshiko's magic on Kira got weaker which meanr Kira was getting more powerful and the magic was wearing off. Noshiko might have noticed but didn't bother because by that time, void was out and she probably thought she could use Kira's help in defeating void.
Kira realises all of this and her trust in her mother is not only destroyed, but also her anger rises. I have this hc that void kills Ken, so while Kira is grieving, she's a bit unruly and blames Noshiko for Ken's death. And void would want to use the broken bond to sneak his way in and manipulate Kira.
If we wanted it to be darker, the manipulation actually wins and Kira causes all kinds of chaos. But since it's not that show, we could see void using Kira's mistrust in her mother to get her to explore her dark side. "She lied to you and tried to use your powers to defeat me. She conjured me up" would be whispered to Kira's ears. Now, this would be a great opportunity to introduce Kira's inner conflict. Kira is known to be the sunshine character, an awkward teenager who has a very huge crush on Scott. But then her fox spirit is still present,it's a trickster spirit and a part of her would want to know what it's like to have power and loss of control. Of course, she turns him down because
1. She still loves her mother
2. Scott is counting in her for help and she really likes him
3. It's totally wrong and it goes against everything she stands for.
4. He killed her dad so screw him.
Though void is the reason their bond was broken, it can also be used to mend Kira and Noshiko's relationship. Like a silver lining. Them talking more, Noshiko training Kira to use her skills better and all that.
The beef between Noshiko and void would've been phenomenal if it was well written. It'd have been so horrific and so funny at the same time.
Like I'm sorry, I was on my own and then you conjured me up because you felt pissed. And just because I made a little joke (your lover was already dead btw, not like I killed him to possess him), you got petty and stabbed me in the back literally and allied with an enemy- a freaking werewolf- after I did what you conjured me up for. And you locked me in a jar! For 90 years! I'm raining hell on you for that. If I manage to rise back up, I'm taking everything from you.
As much as I love Ken, I wish void killed him. Because that would be so heart wrenching and impactful, and it'd wreck Noshiko. It'd also show how far void was going to go to enact revenge on those who wrong him. It'd have also been a good way to see how Noshiko handles her grief compared to how she handled it decades ago? Would she still be volatile and unpredictable, or would she be more calculated in her anger? Also, how does Kira handle her own grief?
Then, he'd try to take Kira away from Noshiko in the sense of taking her soul or her humanity away from her. And he'd make Noshiko watch as he's trying to manipulate Kira because that'd be so cruel. It wouldn't work of course, but it would be so fun to see. Void using Kira as a pawn to get to Noshiko, oh, it would be so good.
I wanted fight scenes between them. Them actually playing a game. A twisted game. Imagine fight scenes between void stiles and noshiko. Dylan handling a sword, hello?! It'd also make more sense that Noshiko loses her tail when she loses her fight with void. Because him just hijacking it in front of her eyes and she not bothering to take it back was so lazy. In some myths, the most popular way to get the tail of a kitsune is through combat. So imagine, void gaining power over her by usurping her tail, aka her power. Season 3b could've been so much more fun than it actually was, I swear.
What if Theo was a coywolf/Banshee mix instead of just a coywolf cuz yeah that’s a chimera technically more so a hybrid , but I think a turner or born coywolf that’s half banshee ….ooooo the wheels are spinning especially with Theo practically drooling to meet void stiles
