Here comes tribble

It has been forever since I’ve been on here! But I’ve been super busy with work and planning my upcoming wedding! I’m super pumped because we just got a few proofs back from our engagement shoot!

The removal of the Rebel Flag, and yes I say Rebel because this was not the official flag of the Confederate States of America or the one everyone is citing the racist origins of, has upset so many people because it is a symbol of the history of their land and their ancestors that was stripped from them without warning. Yes, people see it as racist and I can understand why they might misconstrue it as such but to the people truly upset by its removal it doesn’t mean that. To them it is a symbol of standing up for what you believe in when you’re being oppressed. It is a symbol of their past, and their history. To take that away is to take away a sort of who they are. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter what that opinion is. But no one, and I mean absolutely no one, has the right to go around and force their beliefs on others. If you want to be offended by something go ahead and be offended. But if you don’t like the flag then guess what you don’t have to buy it. You don’t have to wear it. And you don’t have to fly it. It’s that simple. Your rights do not out weigh another’s. Your offense at something does not out weigh another’s. Your feelings do not disregard another’s. Bottom line, until people realize their feelings are not the only ones that matter their will be no reconciliation on this matter.
