After this movie, the alien invasion ceases to be a fear and becomes a hope.

Bad-mouthing this movie is basically kicking a dead horse. Everyone knows it’s terrible, poorly made, and completely ridiculous.

There are many funny points I’d like to highlight, but this post would go on forever if I did. First, let’s talk about how the US GOVERNMENT puts the security of the ENTIRE COUNTRY – granting access to cameras everywhere, classified info, and all sorts of documents – into the hands of a SINGLE GUY, and he chooses to use it to monitor his pregnant daughter’s fridge and delete games from his youngest son’s computer, lol. And they hold meetings over Zoom. The United States government. Thanks, Amazon.

The acting and special effects are also hilarious because everything is just awful; it doesn't look like they were actually trying to do anything. Supposedly, many of the good explosion and destruction scenes are actually real footage of war zones and tragedies from around the world, with a poorly rendered 3D model of a giant alien robot slapped on top, which adds an extra layer of bad taste to this "masterpiece."

The practically magical way solutions are tossed into the script with such convenience is really annoying. Inconsistencies are everywhere, and I won't even try to understand what the hell that final solution was, because I’m certain it makes absolutely no biological sense to hack a giant alien robot that eats data centers using the genetic code of a bacterium. Yes, those are literally the words used in the movie. The robots eat data centers. They hack the robot with a bacterium's genetic code.

Overall, this movie is basically one giant advertisement for Amazon services. It doesn't seem to have been produced to look like a movie, but rather like an hour-and-a-half-long commercial, so it doesn't seem fair to judge it by movie standards. So, let's evaluate it as an advertisement. It didn't make me want to buy anything, but it got people talking about the company like crazy for several weeks.
