I changed it from the original i had but basically the idea is that as soon as you enter, all of your teammates will be replaced by the darkness. You are all seperated into different realities, but the way out leads back to the same reality.

The replacer will adamantly insist its not an impersonater, however you can tell they are one because they lose their fear of death since they are unable to die.

they think that, by replacing "you", they are helping you. You're achieving the perfect form. If you "become" them, you wont be able to die, you wont have to suffer seeing your beloveds be hurt.

The way out is to "kill" yourself. You are not you. If even all of your comrades are no longer them, then who is to say you arent you either?

thats right. Before you can be completely replaced, you have to kill yourself, or specifically who you believe is "yourself" because you arent even you anymore

now imagine baek saheon having to do that. Imagine him being fooled by the KSE impersonator, because his roommate always thrived to survive, imagine sacrificing every bit of yourself just so you could see another day... only to realize the solution was literally giving yourself up
