Okay, so, I am not active in the Hazbin Hotel fandom. Used to be for a short time (around last year) and then I just dropped it. And it's because of all the ridiculous and unnecessary shipping problems sooooo many (not all, it's important to note that not EVERYONE is like this) people have.
A lot of people (the mature, non chronically online people) have also similar posts like this but obviously it hasn't stuck. Will my post? Probs not but l just need to get this out of my head and put into writing.
⚠️STOP ATTACKING/MAKING FUN OF SHIPPERS WHO AREN'T ON A SIMILAR AGENDA AS YOU⚠️
This goes for EVERY ship in this fucking fucked fandom! And so many of it has to do with Alastor. And when he's shipped with a WOMAN. Like what?
I've seen so much hate for Charlastor/Radiobelle and now Radiojoy? Main arguments? "Alastor sees Charlie like a daughter!/Charlie sees Alastor like a father figure!" and "Alastor and Emily have only interacted once!”
So... how many of you ship/shipped Rodrick and Regina when it was trending on TikTok? Rarepairs and cross shipping is a thing. Ain't that what Radiojoy is, a rarepair?
And with the whole "Alastor sees Charlie as a daughter", I ain't even gonna get into that, they teach critical thinking in school and some of y'all obviously DIDN'T pay attention to that lesson.
Some Charlastor haters (I haven’t seen this with Radiojoy (mainly because I just haven’t done a deep dive)) also love to bring up their sexual orientations as a way to knock down some shippers☹️. Examples I’ve seen:
• “Alastor is ace, he wouldn’t love Charlie”
• “Alastor is aromatic, he doesn’t want a relationship”
Okay, so! 🐥 Let’s not erase the fact that Charlie is bisexual not lesbian, that both aromantic and asexuality is a spectrum and those who identify as one, the other, or both can experience such feelings and be in relationships🩷 Lots of people who identify as asexual/aromantic have spoken out about this ^^^ above and have given their input (I won’t go into more detail just because I am not well educated on the matters at hand).
But God forbid he's shipped with a man, though, then it's alright. It's suddenly okay if he's shipped with Lucifer, Vox, Angel, I've also seen him shipped with Husk (and ofc Rosie, Lilith, Mimzy, and also Vaggie which is lowkey kinda cool but back to the matter at hand).
Now, don't get it twisted. I am also aware that other ships in this fandom get hate for either being canon in the show or just being a fun ship between the viewers as well but this is mainly for literally any ship regarding Alastor because it’s the majority that I see now that the show finished its second season. I get he’s evil, I get he’s bad, I get he’s manipulative and sassy and against redemption and probably has a plan to destroy Charlie’s dreams…
But like, when has that stopped anyone from shipping any other characters from other fandoms?
Don’t let people having fun with a FICTIONAL SHOW with its FICTIONAL CHARACTERS take away the actual plot line and relationships. This is what makes being apart of media so fun!😁🩷 We should all be kind to one another and not be making fun nor tearing each other down just because of a disagreement towards characters who literally do not impact our day-to-day lives!🩷 No matter what ship you love in this fandom, don’t go spreading unnecessary hate towards the ships you dislike🩷
Besides, it’s an adult show… why are some people acting like toddlers? Grow up. With the way some of you behave, go back to Disney because you’re obviously not adults. Some of y’all’s attitudes and reactions to some peoples shipping preferences is actually embarrassing and if you don’t like something? And you can’t find it in you to ignore or be kind? Then in the inspiring words of Skai Jackson:
