Despite the autumn evening chill, it was warm inside our home, the air filled with a hum of energy. While my sister read cards for others, I started on lighting a fire inside a cauldron—perhaps it wasn’t a proper bonfire, but it would certainly do.

This writeblr community is all about helping each other. So… let’s REALLY help each other out this holiday season in the atmosphere of giving~

I want to post a list of the published books from the authors in the writeblr community.

I will put the least reviewed/purchased books at the top of the list. I will post the book title, the genre, the length, the price, a link, and the summary. (So please provide all this information) in a nice organized list. ALL LENGTH BOOKS ARE WELCOME. PLEASE ONLY SUBMIT ONE per author so that everyone gets a chance to have their book bought.

(I also want to do a free section. Do you post your stories publicly to tumblr? To your website? Provide all the same information, minus the price).

Guys, gals and gentlethems, I ENCOURAGE YOU to purchase a book from the list (when it is published) I also ENCOURAGE YOU to leave a review, even just a star rating. I understand not everyone has money to spend, but if you have a couple dollars to spare you could purchase a cheap ebook and leave a review, and trust me, you will make that author’s holiday season.

I may create a page on my blog for this so that it is static, but we will see.

PLEASE. Submit to me via Message or Ask your published book, a link to purchase, the price of the book (if it is more than a few dollars, consider running a holiday promo where you discount the price? to encourage more purchases?) the genre, the approximate length, and a sweet little summary.

Let’s give those underappreciated writers, those who have worked hard, poured blood, sweat and tears into the work a chance to see some reward from their efforts.

NaNoWriMo Day 5

Words Written Today: 2,635

Words Written in Total: 9,381

I’m debating whether to continue writing tonight or stop where I currently am. I just finished chapter 5, so it could be a good idea to stop for now, but I’ve been on such a roll today that part of me wants to keep going.

I introduced a few new characters today, once of which I like more than my MC. Her name is Tristan Strosk, and she is a badass. I also introduced another side to the villain today.

Here’s an excerpt of something I wrote today:

Lord Malikai chuckled as he leaned forward on the desk. “I already know, child. I know everything that goes on in this kingdom. Unlike others in this kingdom, I do not care that your mother was an elf. I care about actions, and yours have shown that you are capable and quite talented. But as I am sure your father has made you well aware, most people do not like those of mixed blood. If your secret were to get out, it would be detrimental not only to your future, but to your father’s as well.” He hopped off the desk and walked over to her. As he stopped in front of her, he pulled her hood off of her head, revealing the slight point to her ears. Tristan instinctively stepped back and tried to cover her ears, but Lord Malikai grasped her hands tightly and said, “Stop. In this room you need not be ashamed of who you are, my dear.” Tristan looked over at her father who grunted as he looked away from the pair, crossing his arms as he did. Lord Malikai slowly let go of her hands and stepped closer to her. He gently stroked up her cheek with the back of his hand, moving it slowly until it rested on the tip of her ear. “Beautiful,” he whispered as he stepped away from her and turned back towards her father. “I am afraid I must take my leave now. Think about what we discussed, Willard. I look forward to receiving your answer.” Lord Malikai smiled softly at Tristan as he bowed and kissed the back of her hand. “And I look forward to seeing you again when you bring me the girl. Good night to you both.” He walked out the door, shutting it behind him.
