you'll say something as simple as "no child deserves to be hit" and people will crawl out of the woodwork to explain why they should be allowed to beat a 6 year old for spilling some water

children are an oppressed class and everyone should be looking back at their own childhoods and making sure they don't ever make a child feel the same way they felt.

Sometimes the loudest voices are those that are full of hatred so it is really important that you listen to those softer voices who truly care about people, about the world, about you, voices much like your own: sensitive, kind, respectful. you’re not alone in your sensitive nature, and you don’t have “too much heart”, it’s just that others allowed themselves to become heartless.
