i'm off for like the first long stretch (8 business days) in my career excluding christmas and i can't get it into my head. i have two trips i need to pack for.

my issue is i'm like really good at writing sentences with appropriate punctuation that remain in the correct tense throughout and unfortunately ai is also quite good at that so i have to get better at the other parts of writing where ten years ago i'd have made it out the slush pile for my grammar. or so i'd like to believe

i fundamentally don't understand fandom for like big comic or movie franchises or big network tv shows or really any capital letter Intellectual Property because every single decision every bit of lore whatever was just someone at their salaried job. if you read a book then you know that every line of dialogue came from one person's head like god intended. how can you even bring yourself to care about what a writer's room came up with when they're all there first and foremost for health insurance like this is their JOB. of course ideally they care about the characters but a book will be written anyway
