Hello, normally i woulnd’t do this but we need as much help as we can get as soon as possible. We are from Venezuela and it’s extra hard for us to get donations.

In February of last year, after numerous tests and examinations my dad was diagnosed with cancer on his left tonsil. After receiving thirty-five radiation therapy sessions and six chemo sessions, he completed his treatment in April. However, in his follow-up this March, it was diagnosed that this time he has cancer in the nodes on the right side of his neck, and he needs to be operated on urgently as soon as possible. Due to the expenses of the previous treatment, we do not have the necessary funds to pay for the surgery that could save my father’s life, and so we resorted to ask for your help.

My dad is a person that I admire a lot and he was always a hard-working man, who made an effort all his life to provide his family with the best possible quality of life. He educated thousands of people in his work as a teacher for thirty years, also with a degree in special education. Together with my mother, he gave my brother and me a home, education, health and values.

Today he is battling cancer for the second time and needs support. All my family and I appreciate your collaboration to help dad defeat this disease.

When we got back the biopsy results and the doctors agree that my dad needs additional radio and chemotherapy and we can’t cover the costs

He needs 25 sessions of radiotherapy and 5 chemotherapies in a preventive way to be able to eradicate any traces of disease that may have remained after the operation, which have a cost of $ 3,476 plus $ 2,000 in medical fees (All indicated in the attached report)

We would greatly appreciate your support and sharing of this campaign to save my father's life and finally eradicate this disease for good.

Like. I remember back in my grocery store cashier days I did so much crazy shit.

When WIC (Women, infants, and children voucher program to help low income mothers/families with children) people were in my line I would pretty much know who they were. Before the cards they had to tell us upfront they were WIC and show us their vouchers for what they were allowed to get (it was awful some times. Like. 2 gallons of milk. $4 worth of vegetables etc etc). They’d always have items hanging back, waiting to see what the total was and if they would have to take it off the belt.

I began to place the fruits/vegetables a certain way on the register scale so that like 1/2lbs of grapes read as like .28lbs or something. Then act shocked when I said that they still had X amount of lbs left. They got all their fruit and vegetables.

I think it started to kinda? Catch on to the women? Because I would have the same moms in my line month after month. And even after they switched to the cards (they worked like food stamp cards?) I’d still do the same thing. They were able to get more produce for whatever shitty max amount Indiana gave them.
