Dwight is kind of a personal hero of mine, his flanderization was taken to heart
Closeup picture of a translucent photo of skull print I took, and on the topic of skulls, a picture I’m totally obsessed with
Who left you guys here all alone?
I got mall security called on me in San Diego because I was walking around wearing this mask, in my head I was “Cadejo Negro” , luchador vigiIante on the prowl and confident
I love masks, both making and buying them, I love to wear them and become them, it felt real good wearing this mask

Rocks

Cardboard
Folded newspaper
My runes are incredibly important to me and who I am, part of that unquenchable feeling to leave evidence of myself, I write and carve them anywhere and everywhere
I started to write them in my sophomore year of highschool, started with the earliest prototype of “R” which represents self, the core four have always been Self, Evil, Death, and Love, it felt pessimistic to have evil but not good, love isn’t exactly the opposite of evil, but I realized unconsciously I chose Self as the counter to Evil, my hidden optimism, they adorn so much and they mean so much to me
I’m much too scared for tattoos, but if I were to get one, it would most certainly be one of my runes
They are in a symbolic alphabet where each rune is a complete idea on its own, but in sequence can have new meanings, there is also a system called “Kirality” which is the changing of a runes meaning based on its rotation and direction, for example, to rotate the rune of Death upside down and mirrored creates Life, rotated upside down but not mirrored is Undead, to mirror an unrotated Death makes Dead
They are part of what makes me me
I write them on anything and everything
Last Farewell is my favorite song, I’m not even particularly into neofolk, nor am I even a big fan of di6, but this song has been my favorite for years
It played on every last day of school since I’ve found it, it played when I knew I was deep in love, it played when I needed space to think, I’ve dreamt of this song, I’ve fallen asleep and woken up to this song. These are some of my favorite photos I’ve taken, and I think they encapsulate it perfectly, the greens, the softness, the melancholia
I always try to evoke last farewell in my inexperienced photography, I wish I looked like this song
My latest and maybe most favorite collage, I used a metal pin, a matchbox, photography book cutouts, vintage photos, printed photos, a carved tiny wooden skull, a tiny plastic army man, old film strip, cloth from green pants and crossbones shirt, and strips of a black trash bag
…
I think I was trying to talk about social warfare, it’s what I was thinking at least, my references to hategroups and the skull motif, it’s a kinda vioIent environment, but I added the excerpt about being in love and the part about not ripping off your brothers, loving more than hating, and daily affirmations. It’s not entirely negative
I love the colors and textures of this collage, the 3D elements really satisfy me, its compact and says enough on its own
My shoes are shrines on my feet, they hold memories and serve me as they cushion me from the ground, I love them all
My favorite pair of shoes in the whole world are my adidas nizzas
A best friend from highschool inspired me to get my own pair, before then I had only worn low top doc martens, my converse, and my worn out combat boots. Quickly the nizzas took over, I wore them every single day, they turned brown and orange from sheer sun exposure and split open at every stress point, I love them for their shape and design, the way they’re adidas, a brand I feel close to, yet look nothing like them really tickle me. I used black tape to fix them up because I didn’t think the silver of duct tape would fit them, they’ve gotten tighter over the years from their repairs, when they’re too worn out to serve me, I’ll put them on my wall
My allstar converse are special to me, they’ve witnessed most events of my adolescence and they hold so so many scars, they too have burst open at odd angles and worn down, I also replaced the laces of one of them, I wear them rarely nowadays but I admire them everyday
My combat boots are the most structurally compromised, the treads are broken and hollowed out and pebble filled, they once melted in hot summer sun and became completely flaccid, I’m not sure how they survived that, the Achilles heels of them have exemplified what happened to Achilles himself, I taped them up, they’re hardly worn nowadays too
When I love a pair of shoes I wear them every single day, I love them but I’m not precious about them, all of my shoes seem to be injured, sick, and dying

My walls consume me and absorb me in patterns,
Things I have put on my walls,
Magazine cutouts, seatbelts, printed photos, Polaroids, photobook cutouts, postcards, news paper cutouts, pins, flyers, paper, posters, cardboard, keychains, masks, ink.
I take evidence of myself very seriously, that’s why I carve and write my runes everywhere I can, I want to prove I’m real to me and to people around me, so much so that my own room needs to feel claustrophobic and smothering, I can’t help but think about and show what I love.
I have most of what makes me me on my walls, the first photo has 3 images dedicated to Christ whom I muse a lot about in my Gnostic poetry, some collaging, and many many vintage photos I’ve bought from trinket shops, I pasted 3 photos from stolen photography books I boosted off my poor teacher from senior year. I have references to some music, “adieu, all you judges” a split with Ramleh, my love for techno and emo music have references too.
I have Mark Twain’s American flag along with a macabre version of the American flag, America made with rifles and other guns, references to heritage with a luchador, basque separatists, IRA members, and the LA skyline in flame
In addition to my quark board I have 3 cardboard collages, I plan to make many more and I have one in progress
When I sit at my desk I stare at my walls the whole time, the grid of it all bothers me, the spacing, the negative space itself, but I still am very satisfied with it. It’s never finished though and I’m a bit addicted to ordering printed photos
