“guess i should be pretty flattered you’ve come to see me, even now,” matt offered up a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. smoothing his hands over his uniform pants, he could hear the guards gossiping in the corner of the room - could practically feel their eyes boring into him and his mysterious visitor.

“refresh me on our negotiations? if you don’t mind - ”

Harry had enough energy for a soft laugh at Felicia’s words as he slowly looked up at her, followed by a hard swallow. He was pretty sure he could taste blood, but he wasn’t sure if it was just the overwhelming scent of pennies that his head was inevitably giving off. Felicia was always going to be a face he was grateful to see, especially right now. The goblin taking over and getting rid of any clarity he had was already overwhelming enough on a normal day, but with a head injury? Out of it wasn’t even the proper way to describe this anymore. He leaned against her, wrapping an arm around her waist as he blinked. When he tried to shake his head, he was met with a shooting pain and let out a soft groan. “Multiverse? What’re you… that’s real?” He muttered as the two started to walk. “How far?”

“It’s cold out— you should be wearing gloves!”

“—sorry! Didn’t mean to land so close to you! Are you alright? I didn’t step on you did I?”

As they made their way to Monica’s office, the scientist smiled over to the other woman and raised her eyebrows. “So I’ve heard.” That version of Harry Osborn was a bonafide disaster, but they both probably knew that without Monica saying it out loud. “And what business relationship were you interested in exactly?”

Monica’s attention was grabbed there now as she raised a brow at the white haired woman that was standing in the A.I.M. building’s corridor. “I don’t usually discuss business in the lobby. Please, we can go upstairs and talk in private.”

Harry hesitated, squinting his eyes slightly through his blurred vision to get a better look at the figure in front of him. But then he saw the white hair and relaxed a little as he breathed out a soft sigh of relief. “Felicia..” He began to mumble before a shooting pain went through the back of his head that made him visibly grimace as he gently grabbed the bandage that was wrapped around his head. When he pulled his hand away and saw the scarlet staining his fingertips, his hand shook a bit as he blinked hard. “I don’t.. I don’t know how I got here.” He admitted, taking a step towards her before gently grabbing onto her arm to stable himself. One minute he was sitting under a blinding light in a hospital room and the next here, wandering the streets of New York by himself.

“Look, I don’t know who you’re looking for, but it’s not me.” Harry insisted slowly, the worry evident on his face as he slowly scanned his surroundings, obviously very confused.

“no yeah, i’m totally fine. clones are, you know –– a lot more present in my life than you’d think. that’s not weird is it?”

“i dunno–one day you’re just a guy who thinks there’s one of you and the next, you wake up, and you’re not. just take it one day at a time… s’all we can do.” plus if he thought about it too hard…he was gonna get another headache. and if he was just being flat out honest, his life had only improved since all this happened. Peter wasn’t really sure he wanted to go home. 

“If you’re another low-life from the Bugle, I’ve already told you, I have no comment on my daughter’s involvement in the Syndicate. And I suggest you get yourself off of AIM property before I have you escorted out.”

“do I look like a peter parker variant to you?”

“wow, i must be popular today,” matt huffed, sitting down at the visitor’s table. the prison scrubs were a bit too large on his lean frame, and he fidgeted for a moment, drowning in bright orange cotton.

“you know, hanging out with me means you’ll probably see your own face plastered all over tomorrow’s tabloids. kinda just an occupational hazard at this point.”

“so are we just ignoring the problem and hoping it goes away or did the wizards actually have a plan?”
