yk I think that the thing I love most about Luisa is that despite having a Gift that's considered relatively masculine, she isn't afraid to be a woman. yeah, she has strong muscles, but she also has long hair (even body hair if you look closely!!) and wears a skirt, and there's nothing sharp about her- every part of her is round and whole. I think that it's a good message to give to their younger audience (especially brown/black girls who struggle with their body image because they don't fit the world's eurocentric ideals of beauty and are therefore told that they look very masculine) because they're trying to imply that you don't have to have typically masculine traits or even dress like a man to be a strong person.
FRIENDS!! Funguary is officially happening, the drawing event where we draw a bunch of mushroom based characters during the month of feb! Here is what I’ve conjured up:
Each week will have a theme, draw something mushroom related within that theme in order to join. You don’t have to follow the prompt list, you can pick any shroom you’d like!
This is a pretty laid back event where the goal is to just have fun and vibe, and honor the fungi kingdom with some really cool art!! You could make one drawing per theme, or even just join for one or two themes. Happy to have ya either way!
If you’re hardcore you can definitely try and finish all the prompts though ;) I know I will. The challenge intensity is adjustable to what suits you

Okay and while this is something that im all in for, i feel like we need to talk more about it
It is not just the fact that this should be normalized, but also that we need to communicate it better. i think that most of the issues do not come from the space itself but the fact that we do not communicate clearly that we need it some times and this is what leads people to not know what is happening or react negatively.
It happens very often with couples when one will pull away and the other person will get scared or insecure and try to overcompensate because they do not know what is happening.
Just normalize talking about it and telling the people that that is what you need while there is nothing wrong happening with them
Person A: “You two look like hell, what happened?!”
Person B bloody and bruised: “We resolved our issues!”
Person C also bloody and bruised: “Resolved is a strong word but yeah we’re okay now”

so I got into grad school today with my shitty 2.8 gpa and the moral of the story is reblog those good luck posts for the love of god

idk who needs to hear this but there is literally nothing that would be “too small” or “too insignificant” to stay alive for. You think birds are cute? Go for another day to see more of them jump around in the snow. You like hot chocolate? Wake up tomorrow to make yourself another cup. You are really into that one (objectively kinda crappy) series? Go until next Wednesday when the new episode airs. You do not always need a great purpose. If you have a small thing that can take you to the next morning? That thing is great. That thing is enough. Go get that thing.
It it important to think about this, even more in these times that we do not really know what to look for.
I am going through a lot rn and that's why I've come back to tumblr, so for any other person that needs this like me: hey, those little things count
