Things I find interesting

Seen so many interesting theories about what happened with Korra, pre-Seven Havens. Thought I'd share the one I'm leaning towards. From the voiceover in the trailer, I get the impression the cataclysm didn't happen just before Pavi was born, but rather a very long time ago, potentially 10s or even 100s of years. So, not only did Korra actually live a long time (similar to Kyoshi), I'm thinking the cataclysm also didn't happen all at once. Instead it was something Korra had to deal with over a long period of time. But despite her best efforts, it got progressively worse and worse until there was nothing she could do about it anymore. So, maybe people then accused her of giving up, or possibly that she was actively making things worse. Over time the truth got distorted and now, in Pavi's time, people erroneously believe she intentionally destroyed the world.

If you ever hear the phrase "fascism is aesthetics as politics," that's what this post is talking about.
