Honestly it is unfair to the autobots in idw when people say "all the cops and high profile people went to the autobots and low class ones went to the decepticons"
Because it's blatantly false, like ffs, what do you think Blitzwing was before being a Decepticon? A senate elite triplechanger guard.
Or Macabre(enforcer for the senate), or Lobe(one of the bug names of the institute), or Starscream and Shockwave (senators, tho with different levels of power) even Ratbat is there tho turned into a cassette BUT JESUS CRIST HE'S THERE as a Decepticon. And there are probably more I could name but it would be redundant.
Decepticons are FULL of ex militaries/guards/cops/memebers of the senate/members of the institute and every type of oppressing force in Cybertronian society.
Like ffs the Autobots also had their problems and we can debate over Orion Pax, his role in society and his shortcomings and yes many of his cop friends/colleagues became autobots because theybwere following him. Yes we can do that.
And YES there are oppressors/very bad people tm in the Autobots too.
But do not justify Decepticons by saying they were all working class revolutionaries turned bad down the road because from the fucking start Megatron accepted his former oppressors in the ranks if it meant seizing power and reaching his goals no matter who he hurt, even his own.
Megatron's words and his actions during most of the idw run are parallel lines and the fact that this fandom believes him blindly is absolutely headache inducing
