imagine daichi as a police officer patrolling around the school grounds and since they're both idiots who share a lot of history together. suga and daichi are often seen together during lunchbreaks, treating each other to meals, with suga gossiping about the faculty staff and daichi telling stories about his career in the police department. "bertha's pregnant, daichi! can you believe it? i thought she's gay!" "maybe she's just bi??" "yeah, like you." it's all warm laughter and casually enjoying each other's presence, with asahi sometimes tagging along whenever he isn't busy.

at some point daichi arrives at suga's homeroom class to drop by some breakfast after days of suga skipping meals due to the stress and exhaustion from work. the students observed their exchange with wide, curious eyes. some snickered, some giggled.

"omg daichi, thankyou, but im allergic to rice" "suga this isnt the first time i made you breakfast stop whining"

and after daichi left, one of the students raised their hand. when suga called them to speak, the kid, with an innocent, genuine voice, asked:

Osamu -> we been known this, but it’s important to point out. He can definitely do a lot of stuff (even like,,,,complicated shit) and he can bake too!! He makes homemade seasonings and his own baking powder and stuff, yeah he’s THAT guy. Takes this a lil too seriously but it’s okay bc it’s his passion and we love him for that! He LOVES sharing food and cooking for people. 🥺

Hinata -> there is no way this man lived in Brazil AND was a delivery boy without picking up some tips (or being offered lessons/advice lol) I know he throws down in the kitchen…….plus he learned to cook beforehand so he could babysit Natsu for his parents 😤💕 we love a chef!! Hinata is known for his use of seasoning you’ll never catch his food being bland.

Oikawa -> again, another well traveled hottie. but he was responsible enough to learn way ahead in advance. oikawa didn’t want to waste his money, so he decided to learn how to cook as soon as he realized he wanted to leave Japan. he’s got SKILLS too, he learned how to make all his favorites, so he can cook a variety of Japanese meals and some Argentinean/Brazilian meals too!\

Iwaizumi -> YESSIR HE CAN COOK…!! learned with oikawa, honestly. it was their last real bonding moment before they both parted ways for college. yes, this is the reason why when he makes fresh ramen he gets a lil teary eyed. no, he will not admit that (he insists it’s the onion,,,,what onion iwa there’s no chopped onion here–). he got really into Taco Bell in the states too,,,,which encouraged him to try authentic mexican food instead lol

Nishinoya -> an absolute king. you would’ve expected he couldn’t cook right?? WELL YOU’RE WRONG. I know Nishinoya has to have a good grasp on food to have his travel organization. he is messy!!!! but!!! damn if the food aint good!!! I know he has like…spices straight from their home countries too. he’s THAT bitch. he gets so excited to cook for you too he LOVES sharing what he’s learned!! he’s so passionate about culture!!

Tanaka -> KING KING KING!!!! we know he canonically learned from Saeko this man put so much effort into being a stand up husband I know his cooking skills are BOMB. he doesn’t know anything particularly out there, but what he knows he knows WELL. mans feeds you good (also every time he cooks Saeko says he “put his foot in it” all proud like lol)

Kita -> osamu wanted him to try his food first….so….he’s gotta have taste! also I know his grandma wouldn’t just leave him without any skills. she wants him to be a well-rounded young man and carry on family recipes and stuff!! this is what makes him such a special chef, a lot of the recipes he knows are so personal and obviously made with love <3 plus, he’s got fresh ingredients from his farm!

Suga -> he can cook but honestly…at what cost? spices are his best friend. and worst enemy. why the fuck does he use so much? does he just like punishing himself? did his tastebuds fall off in a freak accident? anyways, his food is SPICY. but after you let him know he needs to cool it down he just learns to spice up his own serving instead of the entire meal so <3 !!! you can finally enjoy his cooking!! also he is great at hangover and depression meals I just know it 

Kenma -> BET YOU WERENT EXPECTING HIM, HUH. Well yes, this man can most definitely cook. Doesn’t mean he does it often, though. Kenma’s got the most barebones knowledge of cooking but hey, it’s enough to get by and cook a few basic meals. He’s more than capable of keeping himself alive. He’s got a special recipe or two from his mom…🥺 maybe he’ll cook it for you if you’re lucky 💕

hq!! boys that can’t

Akaashi -> okay, it’s not that he’s unable to. it;s just he does not put in the effort,,,Akaashi is the king of quick takeout and microwave meals (moreso in college)…he just never feels inspired to cook? his rice cooker is his friend but unfortunately he’s not putting much inside it but rice…maybe he’ll take out a pan if he’s feeling good. but uh, thats about it. I think he learns cooking can be a joyful activity when he gets with his partner (if they like it)

KUROO -> surprisingly enough cooking isn’t a skill this man learns for a while. He’s kinda in the same boat as Akaashi?? He busts his ass working a lot so cooking a real meal is just not his top priority…it becomes something he enjoys when you’re around though! Listening to music while dancing around in the kitchen…🥺 seeing the look on your face when he makes something that tastes right…yeah ❤️

Terushima -> bold of you to assume he doesn’t live off of monster and animal crackers until the tender age of 22. can cook a MEAN curry though, he does learn he can cook but it takes him finally getting out on his own (or you prompting it outta him). He’ll cook for you quite a lot when he realizes he can do it.

Atsumu -> again, this guy CAN. he just…does not. osamu was the one using all the kitchen time so tsum tsum didn’t pick up much besides like…boiling pasta. I can’t really see him enjoying cooking either…he’s more of a “i’m ordering take out” or “pudding and three cheese sticks counts as dinner….right?”

Tsukishima -> this man,,,,he doesn’t even eat much so why the hell would he learn how to cook…like, all he needs is the steam button on his rice cooker and he can cook a whole ass meal in that thing. he may fry something. emphasis on may. but yeah I know his rice cooker is going off every night and anything else is getting heated in the oven that’s the most effort he’s putting in.

Sachiro -> idk why but the idea of mr. unmovable saichiro being bothered by the fact he sucks at cooking is so funny to me so I’m making it canon. he tries so damn hard it is actually kinda sad. works himself to the bone trying to learn how to cook but for some reason he just can’t get it right. f in the chat for this man sadly eating burnt pizza rolls for the nth time this week.

the men who bake 

ASAHI -> SO CUTE,,,,he worked in a bakery for a while during college/design school so he still has the skills they taught a newbie like him. i know this man cooks bread to relieve stress and then eats said loaf and then is like “omg is this gonna make me fat??” then goes off and does it again the next day….smh. he’s so cute when he’s baking he hums and has the brightest lil smile anyways he is adorable

Yamaguchi -> not much of a sweets guy, but a baker nonetheless. he likes expressing himself in the things he makes…so he decorates cookies and makes layered cakes and cute stuff like that for fun! the problem is he doesn’t really wanna eat it…and tsukki definietly does not care for it (unless he decides to make some shortcake…!) so…who gon help him

Hanamaki -> oh yes, with such a deep obsession for cream puffs I know this man enjoys some good pastries!!! He’s not the best baker out there or anything but he does specialize in cream puffs and anything kinda “delicate” yunno?? He likes the light, airy stuff and it feels good (and smells good…!) when you make your own. More often than not he’s hitting up a bakery for his fix though lol

Kageyama -> baker kags lives in my mind rent free NO I WONT TAKE CRITICISM. HE DRINKS ALL THAT DAMN MILK AND FOR WHAT??? COOKIES,,,,they are his guilty pleasure. you won’t catch him baking often but when you taste something he made you will beg him for more,,,he’s so good at cookies specifically it’s criminal. don’t ask him to make anything else tho <3 he’s got a basic knowledge of cooking too tho.

Bokuto -> one of the weirdos who got strangly addicted to baking bread and just will not let it go. that’s all he wants to bake!!!! and when the regular recipes run out he starts working on shaping the bread into cute shapes…frog bread, bunny bread, teddy bear rolls….there’s so much bread. if you leave him alone too long he’s gonna make bread…or muffins…your freezer is full of them…

Tendou -> again, another no brainer but worth pointing out! ten-ten is a god tier baker, not only is he good at chocolates but he is amazing at making sweets in general! Something he really loves is making designer cakes and traditional french pastries!! He practices a lot at home, so you always get to beta his new recipes or the recipes of others he’s trying. you also never buy bread anymore he literally makes like 2-3 loaves a week (and gives some to friends if needed <3) will also do gluten-free/vegan stuff as well!!

Ushijima -> NOW. HEAR ME OUT. Tendou taught him. Ushijima asked for it because he knew Tendou enjoys baking and he wanted to do something his bestie enjoys with him,,,,i am crying. Anyways, Ushi isn’t the best baker…don’t get me wrong, the things he makes taste amazing. it’s just they don’t always come out shaped right lol. they’re lopsided or uneven or even triangular for some reason (sir pls,,,what are you doing) but they all contain 100% of his effort and love. 

the outliers (why are you so perfect at everything fuck you all my homies hate you)

Sakusa -> he can do it all. it’s even more unfair because he really does not eat a ton and never really flexes his skills. cooked for atsumu ONCE and the man decided it was his goal to prove he could do better. even with samu’s help atsumu got burnt out and had to accept defeat he’ll never hold a candle to this man. I think he tends to do a lot of the cooking because it makes him more comfortable about what he’s eating…he doesn’t really say this but he enjoys sharing it with you too. 💞

Matsukawa -> why does he know both…? he’s simply just THAT bitch. He is. The thing is though, he really doesn’t put in a lot of effort soooo you think he only knows how to scramble eggs and all the sudden one day he’s got a whole ass shrimp scampi made and you’re like “now wait a damn minute….”

Daichi -> eats a shit ton. therefore, he has learned how to satisfy his own cravings…! Get you a man who can do both y’all. It’s not weird to see him cooking but lord is it ADORABLE to see him in a lil apron baking something…🥺 if you want some you gotta help him though

Aran -> Look he’s just a king okay. There’s no disputing it. He can cook and bake but he’s more often than not cooking, baking is something he saves for more special occasions! He learns how to make you a special cake for your birthday and it is the CUTEST THING EVER AND HES SO HAPPY TO SHOW IT OFF TO YOU…give him kiss rn PLEASE
