as an ancient history student and staunch critic of Nolanâs Odyssey finding out 3 seconds ago that the Phaeacians were cut from the movie entirely was so so shocking to me
not to mention no ânobodyâ scene CRITICAL to the poem AND NO BAG OF WINDS DONT PMO
i would have loved to see a phaeacian games scene :(
yes i block tags i donât wanna see, yes i block users the minute i see a bad take, i love my hucklerobby echo chamber because this is MY echo chamber and i wont apologise for that
a/b/o au where its the done thing for an alpha to absolutely shower their omega in as many shiny, bejewelled, eye-catching things as possible, as tokens and proof of their love. and robby? he's perhaps the most doting alpha alive.
dennis can't really wear rings and bracelets at work usually due to the nature of their jobs, but his alpha makes up for it with other things. his omega has three little stud piercings in each ear, and robby's made sure to buy him emeralds and rubies and sapphires to fill those holes. he's also got real gold hoops on the tops of his ears, sometimes with shimmering lab grown diamonds embedded in them, so he just twinkles under any light.
dennis's collar, a typical claiming gift from an alpha to their omega, is extremely high quality leather and the stitches are threaded gold- and the tag that dangles from it is a pure but warm hued platinum. beneath his collar dennis has other necklaces, and each one is as stacked with precious stones as his earrings are. and this is what robby's "simple, dressed down" attire for his special boy is. at home, or any time out of work, it's another thing entirely.
as soon as they clock out, robby is taking his omega home and changing him carefully, putting full effort into making dennis the most doted on omega that side of the atlantic. dennis preens and smiles his scrubs are stripped off of him and robby gets to work. dennis's plain nipple piercings are replaced with golden metal, and he's dressed in a deep blue cashmere jumper and dark jeans. rings are slipped onto eight of his ten fingers, and three or four bracelets and bangles are put on each of his wrists. some of them studded with pearl, some mother-of-pearl, some with drops of jade.
robby gives him a kiss, and then puts on his non work earrings. they're long and dangle, and have tiny golden chains that host pieces of amethyst on the ends, catching the light whenever he shifts. dennis trills in his throat as robby adorns him, feeling the love and possession and pride that his alpha has for him. robby kisses him soundly, knowing he's done a good job.
a few hours later when they go out for dinner, robby will strip him again and slip him into a silken blue dress that compliments his eyes and the warm, gold-based jewellery that drips from him, and costs more than some people made in six months. it has a low neckline, showing off hints of dennis's modest cleavage and the expanse of his pale neck- his collar matches his dress, and takes centre stage. this omega is *very* much off the market. when robby leads his pampered and doted on omega into the restaurant, heads turn and mouths gawk at the vision he cuts.
he's the epitome of omega beauty and excess, and robby is the epitome of alpha ownership and devotion. dennis seems to glow under the lights, every adornment to his body displaying the wealth and love that he was showered with. he preens again under the gazes on him, and robby smiles. he likes when his omega knows his worth.
I donât support kingdon going canon because Mel should be at the club!!! Not becoming a step mom to langdonâs kids and in another caretaker role.

Their first day off together⌠they planned to go out for dinner but ended up like this around 2pmâŚ
iâm so puppy coded i said boot humper rather than boot licker dennis whitaker i am you
Dennyâs Mom Pt. 2
[part 1 can be found here.]
The loaf pan with the tinfoil wrapped around the top was unexpected. Robby stared at it for a moment, still in his green robe to get the mail before leaning down with a grunt to pick it up.Â
A cheerful little sticky note read âGot some extra banana bread from my mom. I hope you and Dennis like it! - Jâ  in chicken scratch that Robby was getting familiar with through his shifts with Jack. Robby huffed and set it on the little end table by the door before shutting it behind him and walking out to the mail. Dennis was on the staircase holding his little dog stuffie when he came back, rubbing his eyes and carefully taking steps down the stairs.Â
âGood morning, lemele.â Robby cooed, picking Dennis up in one arm and the pan with his other hand. (The mail was left in a steadily-growing pile on that front-door side table.) âMamele, what's that?â Dennis asked sleepily, his l's rounding out into almost w's that still endeared Robby to no end. His head still rested on Robbyâs shoulder as Robby set down the pan and refilled his coffee mug.Â
âSomething from the neighbor.â âCan I have some pâease?â âPlease?âÂ
"Already said p'ease!" Dennis whined.
"Denny, p- luh- ease." Robby pronounced carefully, causing his little one to groan.
âPleeeeeaaaase?â Dennis stressed, slightly exaggerated by his mamaâs insistence as Robby chuckled. âNo sweetheart, we don't take food from strangers. Besides, we gotta get some eggs and sausage in your belly.â Robby kissed the top of his head before settling him in one of the three chairs around their little dining room table. Eggs, beef sausage, frozen latkes that he made in batches each weekend.Â
When Dennisâs plate was cleaned, he swung his feet excitedly on the chair. âMamele, can I have the food from the neighbor?â âHow about a granola bar, Den? Or an applesauce pouch?â Robby knew he couldn't keep stalling his boy's suspicion. The smell of fresh baked banana bread was slowly filling the foyer where the pan sat innocently. It wasn't until he was packing Dennis's lunch that he even thought about it. It would be best for him to try it, right? To see if it was safe? Who died of poisoned banana bread anyways? Robby peeled back the tinfoil and cut a tiny slice with his knife. It was still slightly warm.Â
The banana bread was⌠unfortunately delicious. That slightly crispy top but still moist in the middle, with a little cinnamon. Robby took a delicate bite, shocked at how much it didnât suck.Â
"Mamele-" A little voice peeped out of the blue, causing Robby to startle and drop the knife back into the pan.Â
"Fffffudge, Dennis, you can't sneak up on mamele like that!" Robby leaned forward slightly and huffed, looking down at the pup whose eyes were trained on the pan sitting on the counter.Â
"You said no food from strangers?" He asked, his little eyebrows wrinkled the soft skin between them. Robby waved his hand around vaguely as he fumbled for an answer.Â
"I was⌠checking it. To see if it was safe." He admitted, carefully folding the tinfoil back overtop. "It's sour, Denny, you won't like it. I can eat it for us so it doesn't get wasted." "It doesn't smell sour?" Was Dennis's confused response. Jesus, what was this kid, a cop?Â
"âŚdid you get your shoes on?" Robby blurted out, and Dennis looked at his feet- still in the chicken socks Robby had put him in the night before.Â
"I'm a chicken!" He announced gleefully. " Chicken's don't like shoes!" He squawked before running back down the hallway with a giggle. Robby shook his head as he hid the pan in the bread compartment. They'd be late, but for now the topic of the banana bread had been successfully diverted.Â
Jack was watching him. He could tell as soon as he came in, how he looked at him from across the ER hoping to grab his attention. It wasn't until they were between cases that the little alpha had worked up the nerve to ask.Â
"Did you like it?" He blurted out, rocking on his heels slightly.Â
"Did I like what?" Robby asked lightly, still looking at the chart in his hands.Â
"The banana bread?"Â "Try that again as a full sentence, Abbot." Maybe he was being a bit mulish- "Did you like the banana bread I made you, Dr. Robby?"Â
It was coy and sweet, part teasing and part exasperation as he looked up at Robby through his lashes. He looked at the alpha blinking innocently as he waited for Robby's response. For maybe the first time he had met him he was still. Robby did not feel his face get warm.Â
"âŚit didn't suck."Â
It was like he told the kid he won the lottery- he beamed and resumed shifting his weight.Â
"Oh, good! It's a family recipe- I had to go home over the weekend and I asked my momma to show me how to make it! She usually puts in nuts but uh, I didn't know if you or your pup were allergic so-"Â
"-I appreciate it you not sending me or my son into anaphylactic shock, yes." Robby huffed, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips that he tried to squash down. From the way the kid's eyes darted to his mouth, he wasn't that successful.Â
"Good! GoodâŚ" Jack trailed off. Robby waited for him to say more, but when the silence stretched on he patted Jack on the shoulder.Â
"Good talk."Â
He couldn't escape his fate forever. That night Dennis had begged and begged and begged for a slice, trying to be good and making a show of picking up all of his toys. Considering Robby hadn't gotten a stomach ache or thrown up in the 12 hours he'd had it, it was most likely safe. Robby almost had wished it was laced with something- a reason to push this alpha from his life. To keep him at arm's length. He wasn't so far gone as to incriminate him with banana bread.Â
He should have known better because now it was all the 4 year old talked about- "Mamele, can I have more?" "Mamele, can you ask the neighbor to bring more bread? P'ease p'ease-Â pleeeaaaase-" It was all he wanted. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert. He even tried to make his own banana bread, but his picky little pup took a bite and scrunched his face up. (His Bubbe would have made him sit at that table and finish the slice long after it had gone cold and stale. Dennis didn't know how good he had it.)Â
Give a mouse a cookie and all that.Â
He had to ask Jack where he got the banana bread. It wasn't hard to find him- he had a habit of sitting out in the ambulance bay with a cigarette whenever he had a moment to breathe. He hated that he knew Jack's patterns and schedule already. He walked out and around the corner an obligatory 25 feet from the entrance to the familiar form of the alpha that was beginning to become more and more entangled in his life.Â
âWhere did you get that banana bread recipe from?âÂ
Jack looked up at Robby with a startled look, his cigarette still dangling between his fingers. âI, uh, I made it. Family recipe- well, there's not really a recipe, you kinda just throw things in a bowl until it feels right-" Robby groaned and dragged a hand down his face. âDennis has been begging for more banana bread for the last couple days, I swear you put crack in it.â âI would never, Dr. Robby-â Jack blurted out, a horrified expression on his face. âJesus, relax Abbot, Iâm joking.â Robby had to reassure, holding his hands up in a placating gesture until Jack settled and silence filled the space between them.Â
"I couldâŚmake you more?" Jack asked hesitantly, unsure if he was crossing some invisible boundary.Â
Robby thought it over, scrubbing a hand over his beard before he puffed out a sigh. Jack didn't take his eyes off him for a minute of it.Â
"Shit... this isn't going to get you brownie points."Â
"Yes Doctor." Jack intoned solemnly.Â
"You're going to drop it off on my door."Â
"Yes Doctor."Â
"And If I think there's so much as a hint of something in it that could hurt my pup I promise I'll make it slow and painful." Robby stressed, his eyes boring into Jack's as he did so. He nodded like a bobblehead, standing at attention.Â
"Okay. Don't make this a thing." Robby threw over his shoulder as he walked back into the chaos he was comfortable with.Â
ââ・đŚšÂ°â§â ââ・đŚšÂ°â§â ââ・đŚšÂ°â§â ââ・đŚšÂ°â§â ââ・đŚšÂ°â§â ââ・đŚšÂ°â§â ââ・đŚšÂ°â§â ââ・đŚšÂ°â§â ââ・đŚšÂ°â§
Jack hated going against Robby's wishes, but he was going to make this "a thing" as he had put it.
Jack knew the kind of guy he looked like. A lot of fellow students were shocked when he told them he was going into ER medicine and not surgery like most of the other guys he was around. He was strong, but he wasn't stupid.Â
He knew that Michael "Robby" Robinavitch was the handsomest omega he'd ever laid eyes on.Â
He knew that Robby loved his pup probably more than himself and was very protective of him.Â
He knew that whoever had dated him before didn't treat him very well.Â
The more evidence he collected in his mind, the clearer the picture got. Left alone with a pup to take care of with nobody to take care of him. It broke Jack's heart in a way he wasn't familiar with. He's done his own fair share of "Cougar hunting" as his friends had put it, but this was different. He saw how much of a brilliant doctor he was every day he worked with him. He treasured those rare smiles and soft huffs of laughter he managed to pull from him. Watching him interact with Dennis was the only time he sees him soften and relax.Â
He just wished he could help.Â
It started with mowing his lawn. He⌠hadn't asked, necessarily, but he was already mowing his, and Robby's grass was looking a little long too. He wasn't an idiot, he steered clear of the lush hydrangeas in front of his side of the townhouse, but he carefully raked the cut grass into bags and neatened the sidewalks with his weed whacker. He heard banging on the window and saw Dennis with his hands against the glass, grinning as Jack scrunched up his face before running back into the house.Â
He'd get the mail after his runs and leave it on Robby's doormat so he wouldn't have to leave Dennis unattended.Â
He'd send over another loaf of banana bread whenever his own pan got low.Â
Unfortunately it looked like Robby was set on avoiding him as much as possible outside of work. He hardly caught glimpses of him, usually only in the morning or coming home in the evening with Dennis in tow.Â
Would giving something to Dennis help get Robby to understand that he wants to be here for him and his pup?
"Nurse Dana?" Jack stopped by the nurse's station, drumming his fingers against the lip of the counter as the older alpha woman looked at him over her glasses. "You have pups, right?"Â
"Uh-huh. Why?"Â "I want to get Dr. Robby's pup something, but- I dunno, what to kids like?" Jack asked, bouncing on his heels slightly. Dana sighed and took off her glasses to look at him properly.Â
"Kid, I'm going to give you some advice and you should listen to it, yeah?" Her voice was low, steady enough that Jack had to lean a little to hear her. Jack nodded, a little lost as to where the conversation is going.Â
"Dr. Robby's had a rough go about it. He's happy with his job, and with his family, and he doesn't need some knight in shining armor coming in to make it all magically better." She started. Jack could feel his shoulders deflate a little hearing her.Â
"⌠Dennis likes farm animals. But you didn't hear that from me or else you're getting stuck with flight risk cases for the next month. Got it?" She pointed her pen threateningly at him.
"Yes, Ma'am."Â
"Good. Now scram, Robby's coming in." Dana shooed him away. Jack couldn't keep the grin off his face as he jogged back over to the gaggle of students.Â
It took a bit of hemming and hawing at the store after his shift- between puppies and little chickens and cows and horses and all the other farm animals, he slowly narrowed it down to a small cow with a soft, crinkly yellow ear tag. As he walked by the gift wrap to find a bag to put it in, a bouquet of soft pink tulips caught his eye.Â
It surely wouldn't hurt. He could pass it off as a very late "meet the neighbor" gift if he was hard pressed.Â
The bottle of wine he picked to go with it⌠less so.Â
He was pretty proud of himself overall when he climbed out of his beaten-up Jeep and made his way to Robby's front door, knocking on it as gently as he could while still being heard. He could hear tiny feet running and a loud, "I'll get it, I'll get it, I'll get it Mamele!" And Robby's own low, urgent voice.Â
The door swung open, and Dennis peered up at Jack with wide eyes.Â
"Hey Dennis! Is your mama here or are you all by yourself?" Jack asked, kneeling down so he wasn't towering over him.Â
"I'm not by myself!" Dennis squawked. "I'm too little!"
"Really? I thought you were 10 years old, you're so big!" Jack chuckled. Finally, Robby's hand took hold of the little boy's arm and tugged him back so he could sandwich himself between them.Â
"Abbot."Â
"Hey, Dr. Robby! I was at the store earlier, and I just- I saw this and I thought Dennis might like it. And then I didn't want to show up empty-handed for you so I thought I'd grab some wine. I guess- uh, I don't know if you like wine butâŚyeah. These are for you guys." Jack held out the offerings to him.Â
Robby looked at the gifts- the light blue bag with yellow tissue paper. The pink tulips. The wine bottle in a long, skinny bag. He looked back at Jack and sighed.Â
"What is your goal here, kid?"Â
He looked tired, watching Jack with a mix of weariness and apprehension.Â
"My goal?" Jack asked after a moment.Â
"I'm old. I have a kid. I have a career where you are one of my subordinates. None of that is magically going away. I'm not a conquest or a notch on your bedpost. So what is your end goal? You can't expect me to believe that you want to be shacked up to some 50 year old omega for the rest of my life with a pup to take care of once I'm gone. I know what kids like you want." Robby bit out. Jack's heart sank in his chest.Â
"⌠I wish you wouldn't think of me like that, Doctor Robby." Jack said softly, making him scoff.Â
"Like what? A pup still wet behind the ears chasing some tail? Because that's what you are, Abbot."Â
"Like I'm just a dumb kid! I'm trying to show you that I want you. I'm taking this slow because I want to show you I'm not just messing around here!" Jack straightened his shoulders, trying to be firm in the words he was saying. "I'll respect you if you're trying to tell me to fu-forget about it, I will, but don't say that just because you think courting you is a mistake!"Â
"It is a mistake for you. You're too young to be dating a guy my age!"Â
"You won't be a mistake, you'll be the best thing that happened to me!" Jack didn't mean to raise his voice, truly, but he couldn't help himself. He needed to get his point across to Robby even if it had to vibrate through his body with is voice.Â
The two of them stared, waiting for the other to say something.
In a sudden movement, Robby took the bags and flowers with a soft growl.Â
"I'm not a cheap omega, kid. I'm not going to be wowed with some chocolates and fast food dates." Robby vowed, but the bite of his words barely even mattered in the face of his acceptance. Jack felt his breath catch in his throat.Â
"I need advanced notice on dates in case I need to get Dennis a baby sitter. No last-minute shit."Â
"Yes, Doctor."Â
"And⌠I get off work at 7."Â
It was soft, hesitant like he hadn't said those words in a while. Jack nodded again.Â
"Okay."Â "Okay."Â
The two stared a minute longer before Robby slowly closed the front door.Â
"Good night, Jack."Â
"G-good night, Robby."Â
If he did a fist pump back in the privacy of his house, he was the only one to have witnessed it.Â
Robby stared at the gifts in his hands. He could still smell Jackâs pleased and happy scent, that familiar sweet, vegetal crispness. What-
Oh.
It was Rhubarb. Like the kind his Bubbe grew in the garden in the summer. The kind that heâd run out and steal a stalk, snapping it and hiding with his bounty to nibble and chew on in the summer heat.
Robby lifted his hands to his face and groaned, feeling it flush under his fingers.
What the hell was he getting himself into?

I never said this was going to be a slowburn
jack abbot is sooo romantic actually. he notices his husband has a crush on little puppy whitaker and instead of getting jealous he just ?? corrupts the boy ?? as a gift ??
like wym this man knows robbyâs filthiest fantasies by heart that he just knows how to break whitakerâs mind to turn him into a permanently dumb little puppy who only cares about being daddyâs fucktoy ??
and the man even carefully planned dennis whitakerâs disappearance too, made sure no one would be looking for him.
heâs such a good husband
robby the kind of man to put his reading glasses on when he eats out dennis's pussy, just so he can see his boy in high definition and get a good view of his clit <3

just up thinking about bio sub/little dennis whitaker who at maybe 50-60 has a daddy and a sir who canât take care of him anymore and eventually are no longer here. that doesnât mean his needs no longer exist; he needs to be taken care of by someone so he inevitably has to find someone else. but of course he never truly moves on for the rest of his life
something about a drag night, a sleepover and some pizza
