When we had kids, people used to encourage date nights as important endeavors. Now - they're a quintessential staple - an opportunity for us to enjoy our hobbies together. Crushing some jumps at "bike park" yesterday. Its amazing how much control he has - I guess lower center of gravity really makes a difference! The amazing sister inspired me to run a half marathon with her today, and for the first time in my life I overcame my asthma and knee problems to finish. Slow & Rocky, there's no shortage of lessons learned, but I think I can say with confidence that I'm ready to take on marathon training for a marathon in September. Never in my life did I expect this other-worldly ambition to surface, but her amaging confidence and encouragement helps push me further than I ever thought possible, daily. Playa Negra beach in Tamarindo Costa Rica - big waves, deserted beaches and very happy kids! The dark sand (or "black" sand) is the result of sand coming from volcanic rock beds in the ocean.
