Finally have my Elemental Xenon concept out of my head!

Because xenon is a heavier gas, Elemental Xenon cannot fly as freely as other Gas Elementals. Instead, she uses her abilities to take a more stealthy approach on the field--moving silently through an area and delivering doses of xenon anesthesia to her opponents.

Suddenly felt compelled to work on my Sonic OCs again, and I'm doing a pretty heavy rework of their story.

Tiger guy, Rowell, now has a solid concept design. And just as suddenly, Ari may be getting a completely new color palette? I know I want Rowell to be red (the orange seemed a little boring), and I didn't want Ari's palette to clash with his. Plus, the green actually helps with this potential new plot 👀

I've been wanting to make a tradition for myself to draw all of my main characters together in one big group photo every new year. I think it would be fun to compare how their designs and my art style develops over time.

So I'm starting this year! Featuring characters you guys have seen before, and some you haven't--main characters, and/or the most developed if the MC doesn't really have a design yet lol. I also included my persona on the left, since that was redesigned recently as well.

Okay I think I figured out what I'm doing with my persona

I love the design I ended up with before, but I felt I didn't have enough teddy bear vibes-- 'cuz- like- kuma. Despite me trying all sorts of stuff, I ended up going with something pretty similar to my starting point, adding in patchwork and bulky-ish gloves for bear paws.

Didn't mean to disappear for so long after Art Fight-- whoops

Elemental Neon is finally getting that redesign I've been struggling with for like two years. I didn't even post my prior drafts because I've been so unhappy with them ack

Having to come up with--over a hundred magical girl designs, if we're working with periodic table elements--I figure that each group of Elementals would have similar themes in their designs. For example, Noble Gas Elementals could share a noble/royal theme--for self-explanatory reasons. I knew I wanted their outfits to be primarily a neutral base color (black, gray, or white), and one secondary color (whatever color their respective element glows). Take Elemental Argon for example.

I had always associated Elemental Neon with black-- I thought it complimented the red the best, and fit her personality better. But what if I made all Nobles have white as their primary outfit color? Then, when they all stand side-by-side, you can really tell they're in the same group?

From there, a new concept design for Elemental Neon came surprisingly easy, and an Elemental Argon recolor came soon after. Look, they match!
