I realize I never really talked about how I see deeper relationships between the Stickmen in my AU

To be fair — most of them are still kids. Like, the youngest is 14, the oldest is 16.

So nothing crazy there

But what about the older ones?

I mean, I could joke about "incest is a family thing" — but that's not really it.

Honestly? The way I see it, Dark and Chosen are queerplatonic/ more like platonic. Hugs and night kisses, you know

Basically, I just gave myself the freedom to do whatever I want with them

In my version, they're not actual brothers like Chosen and Second are

They're more like "found family" — the only thing connecting them is that they were created by the same guy

What if Second is actually Chosen's younger brother on a code level?

What if TSC and the Color Gang never meet?

This idea came to me randomly — I just wanted to see more brotherly interaction between TCO and TSC. So here's what I came up with:

Second was created with the same purpose as Chosen ("The Chosen One returns"), but he never got to meet the gang. Alan didn't change for the better, and after Second disappeared, he gave up on animation entirely.

TCO left TDL (right after Mitsi's death). He realised they were no better than Alan. Trauma isn't an excuse. Feeling Second's creation on a code level, he went back to the computer and took him away.

Second doesn't know he can draw or bring things to life — so he has no pencil. All he knows is what Chosen taught him, and he's still average at it.

The Color Gang never lived on Alan's computer. So there was no Animation vs Minecraft. No highs, no lows. They never unlocked their inner talents — they stayed exactly who they were.

King Orange will go mad from losing his son, all alone. Purple will meet the Color Gang in the Stickman City one day, and take Second's place, but the feeling of being unwanted and useless won't ever fade.

Dark will become even angrier and more insane — there's no anchor of sanity left to hold him back.

Also, I SAW DOGDAY WITH A COWBOY HAT. Hope you add little details like that with the other Smiling Critters!

All the smiling critters are alive and, essentially, work at Doey's "shelter."

Only DogDay sometimes helps Poppy, but he mostly helps the player rather than her.

I've only mentioned this in passing, but basically, everyone here works for themselves, only cooperating occasionally.

The remaining smiling critters prefer to keep their distance, just helping those in need. DogDay is the only one who actively seeks out cooperation — there's still that old childhood hope in him to make things good for everyone.

(The critters haven't been children for a long time; they're adults now and act accordingly.)

Regarding CatNap and the others — he never attacked them, let alone killed them.

I mentioned this very briefly and in passing, thinking this information wasn't needed right now, but here it is.

I wrote that the Prototype took CatNap only to use his gas, and he did this even before the Hour of Joy.

Meaning, CatNap never even had the chance to attack anyone. And after the Hour of Joy, the Prototype didn't let him leave the city, which is why the remaining smiling critters believe he's dead.

Only DogDay knows the truth because he works with the player.

Found a Kissy toy in a melting snowdrift by the front door. Gave her a wash, stitched her up, fixed her hair, and added a bow and some lashes

Yeah, they still lost them — and just like in the original, it happened because of the player.

(Yes, the player exists in my AU and is indirectly on Poppy's side. He has his own reasons for helping her — or more accurately, for going along with her for now.)

As I mentioned below, the Doctor in my AU is a third party who only collaborates with whoever benefits him at the moment. He works with the Prototype rather than for him. His desire to conduct experiments hasn't gone anywhere — especially his goal of trying to create a perfect artificial intelligence.

Lily is one of the Prototype's two assistants. CatNap and Lily are equals — neither is above or below the other; they just have completely different roles.

CatNap is something like a spiritual guide and a caretaker (aka an older brother figure) to all the younger toys.

There aren't any major changes to the Prototype specifically. The only thing that really stands out is that he's less cruel — or maybe just less cold-blooded. He kept the three bosses from the previous chapters alive, rather than tearing them apart or just killing them.

As the leader of the rebellion, the Prototype establishes and builds an entire city (a functional one, with working infrastructure as much as possible, etc.) inside the underground labs that were featured in Chapter 5. The toys can actually live there peacefully, and the Prototype essentially becomes the head of a tiny toy nation.

Long story short, the Prototype is fully aware that the government was most likely complicit in those experiments, which is why no one is bothering them now. But they can't just go out into the open either — there are too few of them, and they'd just get wiped out.

Basically, he becomes a scientist (just like in the original), experimenting with Poppy Gel and trying to create his own artificial intelligence — without using a human body (or soul?) this time. CatNap, Lily, Mommy, Huggy, and a few other toys act as high-ranking officials. For example, Lily and Huggy handle something like security / military services.

That's because there's also a faction of rebels — Poppy and a few other toys working with her. Officially, they share the same goal, but their methods couldn't be more different.

(Most of the differences are on Poppy's side and some other toys I haven't gotten into yet — I'll be explaining that along with the art, but I won't write it all out here, or this would get way too long.)

What didn't fit in the picture:

Despite the robes, he is not a fanatic and doesn't preach anything.

He only wears them when he has to go out and SPEAK in front of everyone on behalf of the Prototype, being his right-hand man.

(The only thing he can say is that the toys are alive only thanks to the Prototype, but he doesn't take it to the extreme.)

I needed it, okay.

(I really like the father-son dynamic, and yes, I know the prototype also has a child's soul in the original.)

It's written as an AU because of my plot and the interaction between the Prototype and CatNap.

While I was laughing out loud while watching AvWC, I finally came to understand how I see the remaining colored gang

Their appearance is basically nothing out of the ordinary (though I've never seen Red with this design before)

Personality-wise, they're probably somewhere between the original and AvWC

For example, in my teenage years, I wasn't a rebel, but I did have a very sharp tongue
