I drew this 2 years ago... where does the time go? It was my first real attempt to color with markers! So not all my colors options are the best. But finally got around to posting it since season 2 is out and that reminded me of these doodles.

I have like no pictures of us in cosplay... maybe that is why I didn't post any con pics??? Well AX 2023 Medabots. :D I did take individual photos of each piece if anyone wants to see that. Also last minute I made Peppercat's head, but sadly it was a bit to small for my friend to wear at the con.

Last set of pictures from AX 2025. I took so little pictures this time, whoops. T_T But like the last post if you got pictures of us/ with us I would love to see them! :D Especially with that Repo cosplayer, I'm so sad I didn't get someone to take that epic group shot both groups together. If you are that Baizhu I got a pic of, feel free to reach out if you had more questions, sorry I couldn't answer them all. My buds making that head tower I had to stop our conversation short. People were saying we made our cosplays fast, I say the people that did Kpop Demon Hunter stuff was also crazy fast! It was great chatting with everyone and amazing to see all the great reactions. It was so fun to see how excited everyone was to see/ hold Bing Bong! I was amazed by all the people that said they heard the bugle and followed the sound to us. Another great year! See some of you guys again in 2026!!!

We cosplayed on Friday and Saturday for a couple of hours in the morning. We would have done more, but Artist Alley was so big this year we needed every minute there. I finished the heads on Sunday! So started working on the badges. I couldn't find decent images of the badges, but the pins are so small I didn't mind. My buddy(red) drew a special badge for herself since she claims she falls off the cliffs the most. She also did it in less then 30 minutes and it looks amazing! My other friend (purple) made the Bing Bong, which also turned out amazing! He was really the star of our cosplay group. He also had a friend that 3D printed the pitons. I loved how they turned out. Red also sewed up some of the sashes. My brother (blue) bought a small bugle and speaker, not pictured, sorry. But the speaker was small enough we just taped it to the bugle and his hand was able to cover it. He was able to get the sound files and he played them thru his phone/ speaker.

Sunday I started working on the faces. The original idea was also to make all the black parts of the mouths see thru, but those bits for the most part were just to small. Only the red head had eyebrows thick enough for that extra ventilation. And only the purple head had a big enough mouth for ventilation. Oh goodness the inside view of the red head, but hey it worked..... She was able to see enough at the con. XD I first drew out the template of eyes/ faces on card stock. Then traced them on thinner craft foam. I picked craft foam that was the "right" color already so I didn't have to paint more. Oh I ended up rotating the placement of the faces over a bit. To make it easier for me to put on the eyes. Since trying to put the eyes on the eva foam seam was very hard. After the faces were on I put in a round bit in the inside to sit on the human head. SO when you turned your head the foam head turned with and not just balanced on the shoulders doing willy nilly.

Opps I never posted Metabot pics, I'll do that eventually. So on June Thursday 26th after a failed attempt to get to the peak, I call it quits since I had work the following morning. While the rest of the gang tried again and joking about what if we cosplay as Peak to the AX?! Would that be even possible? My brother mentions the cosplay comment right before I head to bed and I am like yeah I can do that. SO after work Friday at home, I cut up a beach ball to use as my template. I was thinking about getting a template online that was more round, but the beach ball I had was a perfect size and less brain power required. Friday I finish putting together 1 head, thinking yeah I can 100% get this done by Wed. Saturday I go into factory mode, trace out the rest of the heads and glue them together. They also got their multi coat of plastidip and colors on! However when I was spray painting them in the backyard it was a hot day and some of the seams started coming undone. Which bummed me out since I was not able to squeeze them back as tight as the first time around, so the seams are more noticeable then I wanted.

Medabots: Hands! I think the hands are so cute, they add so much character to the builds. When looking thru my photos, I guess I didn’t take progress pics of Metabee or Cyandog’s hand build. The curve/ half dome parts of Sumilidon’s hands are just the head form again, but just half of it for each hand. Medabots: Chest build update Chest build part 1 Took a picture of the velcro bits. They are glued down and then stapled in. Haven’t made Cyandog’s chest piece yet... Also I didn’t take any picture of making the shoulders... but they are pretty simple, Metabee and Rokusho’s are just rectangles with a bit cut out and then things glued on it. Sumilidon’s was more helmet building, but just half of it and then detailed glued on. Medabots: Chest build I used the same build from FF7. 1, 2, 3 Which made it easy, but I forgot to calculate the foam thickness compared to cardboard, so they are on the extra tight side. It is held closed with some velcro, which is not pictures. Since that part was not done when I took these pictures.
