Being Constantine’s Apprentice and apart of Young Justice Headcanons
A/N: I loved writing these
Being John Constantine’s Apprentice and joining Young Justice would include:
• The Team being completely shocked when Hellblazer walks in, introducing his apprentice of many years who wasn’t just a rumour.
• “Listen up mates, this is (y/n) (l/n), my apprentice and hopefully a new addition to your team.”
“Ah! It’s nice to meet you (y/n) my name is Miss Martian but you can call me Megan!” After some introductions, you were left to your own devices.
“Raise some hell (y/n), I’ll talk to you later!”
“That’s not helping me make a good impression Johnny!”
• Exchanging stories about missions and travels as well as some life lessons you’ve all learnt on each of them.
• Using magic to play pranks on your teammates which usually initiates team-ups with Kid Flash or Robin.
• Having magic symbols drawn on your walls and different areas of the cave for practice and protection. The Team find it fascinating and have a competition going to see who can find the most. Aqualad is currently in the lead, he’s very observant.
• The team asking you to show them some magic because they’ve heard good and crazy bad things about Constantine and his apprentice.
• Kid Flash flirting with you and you giving it back. On friendly terms of course.
• Artemis loving the fact she has another badass on the team and became a very good friend.
• Bonding with Aqualad over the traveling you’ve done and knowledge on Atlantean society. “You didn’t have to do this.”
“No I didn’t, but can you enjoy this gesture instead of being wonderfully selfless?”
“You prepared this very well, thank you (y/n).”
• Wolf taking a liking to you and you helping Superboy with Sphere and it’s abilities. Generally being there for Connor if he needs someone to talk to.
• Just how Robin disappears on you guys, you do the same to him. “(Y/n), do you think we would -” When he turns to face you, he guessed you disappeared on him. “Oh haha, that’s supposed to be my thing.”
“One difference is that I’m still here~” You whispered, to freak him out a little and it worked.
“(Y/n)! Can you not turn invisible?”
• Zatana being wary at first since you bend the rules of magic and are capable of using spells she was always told were forbidden. But that came with being Constantine’s sidekick.
• M'gann accidentally reading your mind as a form of communication and being shocked when you respond and show her around because humans aren’t supposed to be capable of this??? “(Y/n), what are Demons?”
“We can skip that part, some things I’ve seen are best left alone.”
“Yes, that’s one of those things Constantine and I keep to ourselves.”
• Constantine randomly coming in to check on you and sometimes through illusions which startles anyone around you. But the whole team low-key think John is awesome.
• John teaching you new spells every so often and when this happens the Team makes a run for it. “How’re you getting on kiddo?”
“Great, I have a new spell - got a test subject on hand?”
“Yeah I - no. No, my teammates have mysteriously disappeared…”
• If you get a mission that involves supernatural forces or magic pretty much the whole team is fighting over being your partner or Zatanas’.
• Being able to understand Zatana’s various languages and backward jibberish over mindlink and joining her. Hence leaving some members of the team with a headache.
• Group outings to random places, including different countries because M'gann’s bioship is really useful.
• Having each other’s backs both on the field and off it. Actually all becoming really great friends who’d you’d trust with your life.
