Deltarune: How to get the Dealmaker in the Weird Route
Yes, it is possible. I just did it in preparation for chapter 5 (gonna get a stacked Noelle). I've known of this trick for a while, but the guides I found were always super confusing and never centered their directions around the Weird Route. So, after trying it out and confirming that it works, I'm writing this guide.
HOW IT WORKS: You'll need two save files, your Weird Route file and a normal route file. In both cases, you want to beat Spamton NEO, but with a full inventory (weapon inventory for Weird Route, armor inventory for normal route). This will force the item(s) to appear in the chest in your Castle Town. The Quantum Chest. This Quantum Chest will allow the Dealmaker to cross over from the normal route file to the Weird Route file when you copy the file over. I will give the best advice on how to fill these inventories as we go.
Start with the normal route file. Beat Chapter 1 (never sell armor, you want to start filling up your armor inventory early) and play Chapter 2 completely normally, up to where you collect the Empty Disk from Queen's basement. Go back to Spamton, but before loading him into the disk, buy enough BSHOT BOWTIEs from him to fill up your armor inventory. To do this on a budget, wait out the constantly changing price, and only buy when it drops below 80 KROMER, preferably in the 50-70 range (I believe the lowest it goes is 53 KROMER). Once you're all filled up on Frayed Bowties, load him onto the disk, then go and beat Spamton NEO with ACTs, getting the Dealmaker. It will be put in a chest instead of in your inventory. Go and save, leaving it in the chest. You are now all done with this file, you can leave it.
Start the Weird Route file. Play through Chapter 1 (never sell any weapons and save as much money as you can, you'll need it).
Start Chapter 2. Upon bringing everyone to your Castle Town, go and buy as many Spooky Swords from Seam as you can afford.
Upon getting to Cyber World, go through normally up to Sweet Kap'n Cakes's shop (be sure to grab the Fiber Scarf from Nubert's APPLE puzzle).
(I also recommend grabbing at least one of the two free Glow Wrists, either from a chest in the first maze with the Werewires or from the blue checksmark chest in the room south of the rhythm crossroads with the Tasques. Without up to date armor, Spamton NEO will likely be strong enough to two-shot you (guess how I found that out), and since you're not spending money on armor right now, it would be wise to take the handout.)
This next step is the most tedious of this whole process. Sweet Kap'n Cakes (SKC) sell Mecha Sabers for $250 per sword, you're going to need to grind enemies for the money to buy Mecha Sabers. A lot of them. Enough to fill up the rest of your weapon inventory except for 4 slots, which should be kept empty. You will be getting 4 more weapons after this to fill those up. From the save point next to SKC's shop, the game gives you two options for enemies to grind, both from the rhythm crossroads. Either the Tasque in the same room you got the checksmark/Glow Wrist, or the Virovirokun at the far right side of the room (both battles contain two of the corresponding enemy, and respawn upon leaving the room and re-entering). How much money you get from a fight is determined by how much TP you have remaining after the fight ends, so what you should do is spare one of the enemies as quickly as possible, then defend every turn until the TP bar is full, then spare the last enemy. Rinse and repeat (the Tasque fight is easier and quicker, but gives $200 per fight, while the Virovirokun fight is harder and takes longer, but gives $218 per fight. I prefer the Tasques, but take your pick).
Once you have all of your Mecha Sabers, continue on your way. In addition to the two rings you'll be getting for Noelle (how nice of you :)), you'll also need to pick up the Ragger 2 (reward for fully completing the teacup ascent where you jump from ride to ride) and the Bounce Blade (in the place with lots of Addisons in front of stores in the normal route, super easy to find when you're looking for enemies as it has a Virovirokun right next to it). Either of these can be replaced with another Mecha Saber if you aren't confident in your ability to obtain them. If you're doing everything right, you should have a full weapon inventory before entering the Berdly fight where you give him an ice dip.
Finish Chapter 2, as well as Chapter 3 (where you can finally sell all of those Mecha Sabers as well as any other unwanted weapons).
Starting Chapter 4, go to Castle Town after church and save. Then quit back to the file select and copy your Weird Route file into the slot your normal route was played on (for example, if your Weird Route file is in slot 1 and your normal route file is in slot 2, copy your Weird Route file from slot 1 onto slot 2). Yes, the normal route slot shows as empty since you never finished Chapter 2 on that slot, but don't worry, this is how it's supposed to look, you're doing it right.
Load up the new, copied over Weird Route file. Go to the leftmost room, where you initially ended up after sliding down the cliff in Chapter 1. There you will see the Quantum Chest, as well as something glowing in a hole in the wall. GRAB THE GLOWING ITEM FIRST!!! IF YOU GRAB THE CHEST FIRST, THE GAME WILL CRASH!!!! The glowing item is the carried over Dealmaker, and the chest item is the Puppet Scarf.
Save. The Dealmaker is now permanently attached to that Weird Route save (so long as you don't erase it), so you can copy it to whatever slot you wish.
Congratulations! You now have the Dealmaker in the Weird Route! Be sure to bedazzle Noelle when the time comes!
