Brooklyn 99. Seriously. Original songs or jukebox I donât care. Though itâd probably be original songs cause Andy Samberg is a musician
The good place. Kristen Bell people. Bonus if Idina Menzel guest stars as like Shawn and Michaelâs boss (yes I want Idina to play the devil. Sue me)
Agents of shield. Absolutely awesome badass and insane. Which pretty much sums up the show
valid contribution to the age old text post meme
The Legends of Tomorrow writers really love the gays huh.

Tonight I continue with my Cosplay for The Ultimates in Blackpool next month. Any guesses?
I doooo! :P
millenial generation got a little too beaten down and miserable but im delighted to see that gen z seems to be frothing at the mouth and out for blood
Weâre still not much older than them, I believe we can use this as encouragement to rally ourselves, too. If the kids can be this proactive and passionate, we can rise up from the prone position theyâve beaten us to and show them they havenât won. Weâre still here and we care about our future, too.
A combined force of Millennials and Gen Z will be a much MUCH larger force than the Boomers would expect, and theyâd never stand a chance.
Hereâs the thing, guys, thereâs the damn thing. Iâm seeing a lot of comments like âsorry we failed youâ and âgo do what we could notâ and so on and so forth. Itâs really disheartening talk, and I get it, beLIEVE me, I get it. But I want yâall to think for just a second about how much the beating weâve taken as a generation is playing right into the hands of the assholes who want to silence the Z kids.
We grew up on the same stories Zâers did. HP, Hunger Games, all that. We read the same stuff. We jumped out into the world ready to do anything. And the Boomers in charge immediately blind sided us. We knew the recession/depression weâd grown up in was badânow that we were adults, they shoved the burden of it off on us, they blamed it on us, and had the audacity to demand that WE fix it. The economy and world we were promised by our parents growing up wasnât there anymore. Daring to have dreams if you werenât from an already supremely privileged background was suddenly tantamount to signing your own death warrant. Now, we all just struggle to survive, burdened by lifetime debts, mental and physical illnesses we canât often afford to treat, and a crushing sense of defeat.
Not to sound like a total conspiracy nut, but that is exactly what they want.
To the Boomers in charge, we are supposed to be a lesson to all future generations of what happens when you challenge the system in anyway. We started claiming our differences (to mixed success), and they punished us for trying to openly live and love our truths. We tried to make our dreams and life goals happen, and they punished us with crippling debt for an education they no longer value. We asked for help with out struggles, and they punished us for having neurochemical imbalances, physical disabilities, for being abused and neglected and not just sucking it up but daring to want things to be different, to change for the better.
Our current state of downtrodden obeisance is what they want, and what they expected the Zâers to follow. Look at the Millennials, we have ground them down to barely scraping by, and if you donât toe the line, you will join them.
And rather than accept that, these kids are screaming up a storm and throwing down a challenge that the Boomers are scrambling to react to.
They didnât expect these kids to look at what happened to us and say âFUCK NO. You may have killed their spirit but you havenât killed ours!â And they clearly do not know what to do about it.
So where does that leave us? Well, clearly weâre all in support of these kids. But all those comments of âweâre too tired and depressed to help but goodonyaâ? If thatâs all you can muster because of your life circumstances, that is awesome and fine, but for the rest of us who are able to do a little more, we need to do more. After all, these kids are also all dealing with many of the same things weâre dealing with, like depression and anxiety and discrimination. Where do you think they started learning about that stuff from? Where do you think they got the example that they deserve better in spite of all that?
Millennials, weâre now all generally in our early/mid-20s up into 30s. That doesnât mean our protest days are over! What in the world would make you think that? Do we have the same amount of comparative free time that these Gen Z kids have? No, generally not. But they are also risking a lot here in order to have their voices heard. Itâs wrong to ask them to risk so much when we ourselves wonât risk as much. But also, how boss would it be if Millennials suddenly rose up alongside them and helped to make the changes we want to see?
Years after they think theyâve beaten us into submission, we take a solid, tangible stand alongside the Gen Z kids. We multiply the number of people speaking out and exercising our right to be heard and enact change when they think theyâve beaten the fight out of us. We do more than offer our best wishes, we offer our time and our sweat and our tears to help the Zâers accomplish these goals. Our youths are not necessarily behind us, and just because weâre adults now does not mean we have to stop fighting.
We can push back alongside them and make it clear that they didnât break us, they just made us stronger and angrier. The only lesson they taught the world by crushing us down was that the way weâve been treated is wrong, and that everyone deserves better.
What Iâm saying is, please donât buy into the idea that we Millennials are, as a generation, defeated. We are far from it. The way some of you are talking, it sounds like youâre all 80+ year old soldiers who have already fought this war. And while maybe life has smacked you around enough that it feels that way, the truth is we were benched from the war before we even had a chance to fight more than a few battles. Theyâve been keeping us so locked down in the trenches of despair that we donât even remember what the battle field looks like.
These Gen Z kids are Wonder Woman charging out of the trench and barreling across No Manâs Land when no one thought it was possible. We need to be Steve Trevor and every man in those trenches who charges out behind her to back her up. She can take care of herself, but she can always use some help. We need to be that help
Donât give in to the despair, donât give in to the Boomersâ hopes that weâre too downtrodden to help. Gen Z is paving the way. We can still stand right next to them and change the course of history.
this right here.
this is hopepunk.

âWe havenât already had a moment of silence in the House of Representatives, so I would like to have another one. Thank you.
Every single person up here today, all these people should be home grieving. But instead we are up here standing together because if all our government and President can do is send thoughts and prayers, then itâs time for victims to be the change that we need to see. Since the time of the Founding Fathers and since they added the Second Amendment to the Constitution, our guns have developed at a rate that leaves me dizzy. The guns have changed but our laws have not.
We certainly do not understand why it should be harder to make plans with friends on weekends than to buy an automatic or semi-automatic weapon. In Florida, to buy a gun you do not need a permit, you do not need a gun license, and once you buy it you do not need to register it. You do not need a permit to carry a concealed rifle or shotgun. You can buy as many guns as you want at one time.
I read something very powerful to me today. It was from the point of view of a teacher. And I quote: When adults tell me I have the right to own a gun, all I can hear is my right to own a gun outweighs your studentâs right to live. All I hear is mine, mine, mine, mine.
Instead of worrying about our AP Gov chapter 16 test, we have to be studying our notes to make sure that our arguments based on politics and political history are watertight. The students at this school have been having debates on guns for what feels like our entire lives. AP Gov had about three debates this year. Some discussions on the subject even occurred during the shooting while students were hiding in the closets. The people involved right now, those who were there, those posting, those tweeting, those doing interviews and talking to people, are being listened to for what feels like the very first time on this topic that has come up over 1,000 times in the past four years alone.
I found out today thereâs a website shootingtracker.com. Nothing in the title suggests that it is exclusively tracking the USAâs shootings and yet does it need to address that? Because Australia had one mass shooting in 1999 in Port Arthur (and after the) massacre introduced gun safety, and it hasnât had one since. Japan has never had a mass shooting. Canada has had three and the UK had one and they both introduced gun control and yet here we are, with websites dedicated to reporting these tragedies so that they can be formulated into statistics for your convenience.
I watched an interview this morning and noticed that one of the questions was, do you think your children will have to go through other school shooter drills? And our response is that our neighbors will not have to go through other school shooter drills.
When weâve had our say with the government â and maybe the adults have gotten used to saying âit is what it is,â but if us students have learned anything, itâs that if you donât study, you will fail. And in this case if you actively do nothing, people continually end up dead, so itâs time to start doing something.
We are going to be the kids you read about in textbooks. Not because weâre going to be another statistic about mass shooting in America, but because, just as David said, we are going to be the last mass shooting. Just like Tinker v. Des Moines, we are going to change the law. Thatâs going to be Marjory Stoneman Douglas in that textbook and itâs going to be due to the tireless effort of the school board, the faculty members, the family members and most of all the students. The students who are dead, the students still in the hospital, the student now suffering PTSD, the students who had panic attacks during the vigil because the helicopters would not leave us alone, hovering over the school for 24 hours a day.
There is one tweet I would like to call attention to. So many signs that the Florida shooter was mentally disturbed, even expelled for bad and erratic behavior. Neighbors and classmates knew he was a big problem. Must always report such instances to authorities again and again. We did, time and time again. Since he was in middle school, it was no surprise to anyone who knew him to hear that he was the shooter. Those talking about how we should have not ostracized him, you didnât know this kid. OK, we did. We know that they are claiming mental health issues, and I am not a psychologist, but we need to pay attention to the fact that this was not just a mental health issue. He would not have harmed that many students with a knife.
And how about we stop blaming the victims for something that was the studentâs fault, the fault of the people who let him buy the guns in the first place, those at the gun shows, the people who encouraged him to buy accessories for his guns to make them fully automatic, the people who didnât take them away from him when they knew he expressed homicidal tendencies, and I am not talking about the FBI. Iâm talking about the people he lived with. Iâm talking about the neighbors who saw him outside holding guns
If the President wants to come up to me and tell me to my face that it was a terrible tragedy and how it should never have happened and maintain telling us how nothing is going to be done about it, Iâm going to happily ask him how much money he received from the National Rifle Association.
You want to know something? It doesnât matter, because I already know. Thirty million dollars. And divided by the number of gunshot victims in the United States in the one and one-half months in 2018 alone, that comes out to being $5,800. Is that how much these people are worth to you, Trump? If you donât do anything to prevent this from continuing to occur, that number of gunshot victims will go up and the number that they are worth will go down. And we will be worthless to you.
To every politician who is taking donations from the NRA, shame on you.
Crowd chants, shame on you.
If your money was as threatened as us, would your first thought be, how is this going to reflect on my campaign? Which should I choose? Or would you choose us, and if you answered us, will you act like it for once? You know what would be a good way to act like it? I have an example of how to not act like it. In February of 2017, one year ago, President Trump repealed an Obama-era regulation that would have made it easier to block the sale of firearms to people with certain mental illnesses.
From the interactions that I had with the shooter before the shooting and from the information that I currently know about him, I donât really know if he was mentally ill. I wrote this before I heard what Delaney said. Delaney said he was diagnosed. I donât need a psychologist and I donât need to be a psychologist to know that repealing that regulation was a really dumb idea.
Republican Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa was the sole sponsor on this bill that stops the FBI from performing background checks on people adjudicated to be mentally ill and now heâs stating for the record, âWell, itâs a shame the FBI isnât doing background checks on these mentally ill people.â Well, duh. You took that opportunity away last year.
The people in the government who were voted into power are lying to us. And us kids seem to be the only ones who notice and our parents to call BS.Companies trying to make caricatures of the teenagers these days, saying that all we are self-involved and trend-obsessed and they hush us into submission when our message doesnât reach the ears of the nation, we are prepared to call BS. Politicians who sit in their gilded House and Senate seats funded by the NRA telling us nothing could have been done to prevent this, we call BS. They say tougher guns laws do not decrease gun violence. We call BS. They say a good guy with a gun stops a bad guy with a gun. We call BS. They say guns are just tools like knives and are as dangerous as cars. We call BS. They say no laws could have prevented the hundreds of senseless tragedies that have occurred. We call BS. That us kids donât know what weâre talking about, that weâre too young to understand how the government works. We call BS.â
The Parkland kids give me so much hope.
If us students have learned anything, itâs that if you donât study, you will fail. And in this case if you actively do nothing, people continually end up dead, so itâs time to start doing something.
I'm not american but this needs to be shared
Hey if you're up for a supercorp prompt how about Eliza knitting Lena a Christmas sweater to welcome her to the family. Bonus points if Kara has a matching sweater
Many thanks to @kosima82 for helping with this one :)
Lenaunderstood Christmas.
Sheunderstood tradition.
Butthis?
Thiswas⌠utter chaos.
Karawas covered in more icing than the cookies she was carefully pipingsnowflake designs on to, while dancing around to the Christmasplaylist, which explained the blobs of icing adorning the apron Alexhad insisted her sister wear.
Alexlooked positively gleeful, armed with a carving knife as she preparedthe turkey for cooking.
Winnwas attempting to distract Maggie long enough to grab the dog tokenfor the game of Monopoly that was being set up. It wasnât goingwell.
âDonâtmake me get my handcuffs out of my bag SchottâŚâ Maggiethreatened, her index finger pointed at him.
âWhydo you even have your handcuffs here in Midvale?â Winn questioned.
Maggiesmirked while Alex blushed in the kitchen.
âOnsecond thought⌠donât answer that!â Winn yelped as an expertlyaimed dish towel zoomed past his head.
Meanwhile,Lena just observed, a glass of wine in hand and her feet curledunderneath her on the sofa, a book in her hands. She was comfortablehere, among friends, but still a little wary about interrupting theseobvious family Christmas traditions. Suddenly a dancing cookieappeared from behind her head and she realised Kara had super spedbehind the couch to offer her the freshly piped treat. She giggledand took a bite, laughing harder when Kara glomped her immediatelyafter, kissing her softly on the head.
âThanksdarlingâŚâ Lena mumbled over the cookie crumbs. She felt one lastkiss before the back door opened to admit Eliza carrying a bulgingplastic bag. She felt Kara instantly become alert, as she does whenshe senses something others canât (almost like a puppy).
âWhatis it? Is something wrong?â Lena asked, slightly concerned, she hadonly really seen the super woman  become this alert when danger wasimminent.
Karajust stood slightly taller before grinning and bellowing âSAUSAGES!âShe raced towards Eliza and swept her up in a great big hug, âYoubought my favourite!â She said excitedly.
âOfcourse! Itâs Christmas!â Eliza chuckled, expertly extricatingherself from her alien daughter to continue getting lunch ready, onthe way stopping to take the knives off Alex who had started tobecome slightly more violent with the dead bird as she tried toremove a stubborn section at the neck. Eliza swiftly chopped thesection off and sent Alex to wash her hands and join in the game ofmonopoly with her girlfriend.
Anothertwenty minutes saw the turkey cooking and most of the rest of themeal prep finished. The gang were engrossed in a game of monopolythat Lena was smashing as Alex attempted to make up new and excitingrules. As it was, none of them noticed Eliza sneak off and return tothe room with a bulging Santa sack.
âAhemâŚâShe coughed loudly to interrupt Winnâs pleading of Lena not tobankrupt him again.
Thegang looked up and Kara leapt up as she squeaked âPresents!â
Elizasmiled, once again amazed by Karaâs constant level ofenthusiasm and wonder in spite of all she had seen and said a silentprayer that she would never lose it.
Shestarted to pull out squishy packages wrapped in colourful paper andread the tag before passing it to the correct recipient.
Winnexcitedly tore into thewrapping paper seconds after Eliza handed him the package and pulledon the knitted maroon jumper with a giant yellow âWâ on thefront.
Lenafelt her heart warm as she watched Kara pull on a dark blue jumperwith a green âKâ, and realised this was obviously a tradition forthe Danvers, that Winn and Maggie were included in.
Alexand Maggie unwrapped identical purple jumpers with their respectiveinitials in gold.
Lenasipped her wine, content to be included in the festivities this year, not expecting a jumper, unaware that Eliza had delved into the Santa sack one last time.
âThisone is for you dearâ Eliza smiled as she handed the presentto Lena, who stared back at her, eyes wide.
âForme?â
Elizanodded, pressing the parcel into Lenaâs hand.
Kara, sensing her girlfriend was a little overwhelmed at being included intheir traditional jumper knitted by Eliza, placed a gentle to Lenaâstemple.
Lenagently opened the present, careful not the tear the paper and foundan identical dark blue jumper to Karaâs, but with a green âLâinstead.
âWelcometo family Lenaâ Eliza smiled, the others agreeing with thesentiment.
Lenapulled on the jumper and discretely wiped the tears from her eyes.
Shespent the rest of the day snuggled up to her girlfriend in theirmatching jumpers, laughing with her newfound family and eating fartoo much food.
Lenaunderstood Christmas.
Sheunderstood tradition.
Butthis?
Thiswas better what she had ever imagined.

Triwizard hogwarts/supergirl AU
So this is my first supergirl AU story... hope you like it :D written for @kassebaum âs HP SG halloween blog party!
---
âAnd the champion for Hogwarts isâŚâ Dumbledore drew a deep breath, âKARA DANVERS!â
An enormous cheer erupted from the yellow and black table as proud Hufflepuffs jumped to their feet and screamed their approval of their star quidditch player, chanting âHufflepuff! Hufflepuff!â
Polite clapping sounded from the other tables around the room, hiding the disappointment of the other wannabe champions of the British school. The exception was a green clad Slytherin girl who started whooping and hollering from her seat amidst the emerald and silver colours, ignoring the indifferent looks from her fellow housemates.
âI didnât know your sister had entered?â Lena spoke over the cheering as she reached for her morning pumpkin juice around the exuberant Alex Danvers sitting next to her.
âYea we entered at the same time late last night. If it couldnât be me, Iâm glad itâs her. Danvers sisters represent!â Alex shouted the last part and pumped her fist into the air, smiling as her eyes met those of her sister currently being hoisted into the air by a number of burly Hufflepuffs.
âWhatâs that?â Lenaâs sharp eyes noticed the anomaly before Alex and the majority of the other students, too distracted by the announcement of the Hogwartâs champion to see the strange goings on at the teacherâs top table.
âHmm?â A distracted Alex answered.
âThe goblet is only supposed to announce the champions isnât it?â
âYea, why?â
âWell Dumbledoreâs announced them all now⌠Fleur, Victor and KaraâŚâ
âSoâŚâ Alex had no idea what Lena was trying to get at, and was busy claiming the last pancake from the stack in front of her.
âSo⌠Why did it just spit out another piece of parchment..?â
Alex turned her gaze to the front, and Dumbledore, who was looking oddly confused at a fourth piece of paper in his hands.
âCan I please have everyoneâs attention!â His magically enhanced voice rose over the clamour and celebration until all the noise eventually died out.
âHarry Potter⌠Harry Potter? Harry Potter!â
Silence swept over the great hall as Harry Potter stood up and made his way over to Dumbledore. He silently took the scorched parchment from the headmasterâs hand and walked towards the door Albus had indicated. As soon as it swung shut the hall began to buzz.
âHe must have cheated⌠Heâs not even 17 yet!â Alex exclaimed to Lena.
âI donât see how⌠The Goblet of Fire is an exceptionally powerful magical object, only an exceptionally powerful Confundus charm could have hoodwinked it. Magic way beyond the talents of a 4th yearâŚâ Lena contemplated, her brows frowning quizzically.
âWhat are you saying? Boy wonder was set up?â Alex asked in disbelief.
Lena shrugged âHe has a history of clashing with dark wizards⌠Maybe it was one of those who followed my brother before he was imprisoned?â She spoke the last part quietly, still ashamed of being associated with the Luthor name, even though there were those among her house who were proud of the fact that they were at school with someone of such illustrious dark heritage.
Lena leaned forwards to grab a slice of toast and as she did so spotted Kara making her way towards the same door behind the teacherâs table. The newly appointed champion turned round to pump her fist in the air once more towards her fellow Hufflepuffs, she then turned towards the Slytherin table and waved. Lena looked around quickly but Alex wasnât paying attention, was Kara waving at her? She smiled shyly and waved back, her stomach flipped strangely when Kara beamed at her.
One week after the announcement, Lena was walking through the corridors of the school, books on rare spells and ancient runes stacked high in her arms as the 7th yr made her way back to the Slytherin dorm for an intense study session with Alex. As she turned a corner, a blonde blur crashed straight into her. Books and parchment went flying and Lena herself nearly hit the floor but found herself suddenly wrapped safely in a pair of strong and very toned arms.
âIâm so sorry! Iâm late to the wand weighing and I didnât see you, but I shouldnât have been running, and I hit you and knocked all your books! Let me help you with thoseâŚâ the girl babbled.
âThatâs OKâŚâ Lena started but as her gaze reached the eyes of the other student she lost her train of thought. All that she could think of was just how close she was to Kara Danvers⌠She had never really noticed how beautiful the other girl was before⌠ She had just thought of her as Alexâs kid sister (even though she was only in the year below)âŚ
âOh Iâm sorryâŚâ Kara suddenly realised she was still holding tight to the Luthor heiress âLet me help youâ And swiftly stood her back up, reluctantly removing her hands from around the other womanâs waist in order to start picking up the scattered books, âIâm such a klutz!â She blushed as she dropped a book from the top of the now teetering pile in her hands. She grabbed the last couple and held them out to Lena.
âThank youâŚâ Lena spoke and smiled, taking the book pile, unsure of what else to say around the adorable blonde.
âOK then! Well I have to go⌠See you around Lena!â And with that Kara sprinted off, attempting to hide her furious blushing, not realising that the Slytherin was blushing twice as hard...
