A Selke Trophy winner as the league’s top defensive forward and a multiple recipient of fair-play honours, he has shown that what matters most is how you play and how you live. Throughout his career, he excelled both on and off the ice. He represented Slovenia at five Wold Championships and at the Olympic Games in Sochi 2014.
In his final game in Los Angeles, he left the ice to a standing ovation, with the respect and admiration of teammates and opponents alike. A farewell worthy of the very greatest.
Each year, he returns home to Slovenia, where in Bled he co-hosts a hockey academy with his national teammate Tomaž Razingar (@/razingar9), passing on his knowledge and experience to new generations.

One last time at home...
So I just got the S26 and transferred all of my stuff over and realized this is the third time I've moved my weirdly large collection of Patrick Kane gifs to a new phone.

Man, I was pretty devastated when Z and Pav hung 'em up but I have cried so much over Kopi retiring. Thinking about it is making me tear up again. Ugh.
And just for the record, Zetterberg has always been "oh captain my captain". He was my number one favorite player when he was active. Kopi was second after him. But I don't think I ever cried when Z announced his retirement.
I kinda wonder if it's hitting harder bc Pav and Z are older than me but Kopi and I are the same age? Idk. It sucks and I'm just utterly crushed still.

Ugh, Kopi AND Quickie AND Ovechkin in one season? So fucking depressing. I've seen Ovi play live but never in DC so this is so fucking sad to me. I couldn't prioritize a game this season bc of going to so many Kings games.
I mean, we were im LA for over a week to see three games, then drove to Columbus then Boston then New Jersey then Long Island then MSG.
Then we flew back to Cali for another week for three more games.
So yeah, if I've missed my chance to see Ovi live in his own barn I'm gonna be sad as fuck, but what can ya do? My Kopitar farewell tour was expensive as FUUUUUCK. Like most irresponsible 15k and two months of traveling that I've ever done.
Kopi's wobbly voice kinda just completely destroyed me.
