After 20 seasons in the NHL, he retires as a true legend, a captain of the @/lakings, a two-time Stanley Cup champion and one of the most complete players of his generation. 👑

His statistics are remarkable, but just as powerful are the values he embodies: fair play, humility and an unwavering commitment to the team.

A Selke Trophy winner as the league’s top defensive forward and a multiple recipient of fair-play honours, he has shown that what matters most is how you play and how you live. Throughout his career, he excelled both on and off the ice. He represented Slovenia at five Wold Championships and at the Olympic Games in Sochi 2014.

In his final game in Los Angeles, he left the ice to a standing ovation, with the respect and admiration of teammates and opponents alike. A farewell worthy of the very greatest.

Each year, he returns home to Slovenia, where in Bled he co-hosts a hockey academy with his national teammate Tomaž Razingar (@/razingar9), passing on his knowledge and experience to new generations.
