I do love the form of literary analysis that is essentially, "If I were put in a situation, I would simply not have an emotional response at all, and all my actions would be both logical and moral. The character, who has acted otherwise under duress, must simply be a defective person."

a funny thing about having a Problematic Blorbo is that you'll periodically come across a post along the lines of "um let's not forget that [Blorbo] is a bad person..." listing their various crimes, and if you have a modicum of intellectual honesty you find yourself nodding along and saying yeah it's true... but it's the greyness of their character that makes them so compelling... At the same time though you have a little Saul Goodman in your ear going "your honor in their defense: who cares like omfgggg who caresssssss like come onnnnnn"

I love Miraculous Ladybug so much; like is the show perfect? No. But all the things it tries to do, all the representation. LGBTQ+, neurodivergence, women in positions of power, multicultural/racial people & families, normalizing therapy/talking about mental health. Friendships of all types is my favorite part. With a main character who means well, and who’s always trying to grow, but who does make mistakes. Yet in the end overcomes all, through the same community that the show works so hard to build. It’s beautiful.

as a former escape room host i highly recommend doing an escape room as a first date. its a great way to learn how ppl react under pressure and how well they collaborate with you right off the bat. also more than once ive seen people enter an escape room as a couple and exit broken up LOL its a fantastic litmus test
