Like, she's been through a lot, and she's 16! 16!!! Like, no one would be making the best of decisions a hundred percent of the time at that age [i would know lol]

Anyway, i tried depicting her like, falling, kind of like miles. NGL, i feel like she's gonna die next movie- 😭

I wanted to depict him with the tsubaki flowers [or the Japanese Camellia] all around him,that he's usually depicted with in Aidolro's art, and the werid rope things he's also depicted with.

I was worried about how this might've turned out because i had never drawn him in my style,and he has the typical anime nose, [that i don't draw anymore-] but i love how it turned out!

I'll probably draw a yashiro bust aswell, just to complement this one

This was kinda hard to do because of the holes in the veil, i couldn't really make out what was what underneath, so i winged it-

After a few minutes/hours, this started growing on me- The brown reminds me of coffee [Even though i don't drink it that often-]

I decided not to do the last prompt i had planned,beause it took me 5 hours and 30 minutes to finish this one [Which had lineart done the day before] and the last prompt, which was Chicken of the woods, wasn't even in the sketch phase. So..yeah

There was just something galaxy about the spots and color of the mushroom-

This was my,technically 2nd time, working with watercolor,but this time in my own personal sketchbook. It was fun,and I'm definitely doing it again,but I think I should've applied more layers.

Uhm,anyway-

It funguary time 😎

I chose the wrinkled peach for my first prompt.

Since there weren't any themes for this year,the first week I decided I'd do witch themes or variations (or more like that's what most of them ended up being)

So, the kind of witch I chose for the wrinkled peach prompt was a crystal witch. I just saw the yellow droplet things and I was like "yup,crystals"

I'm also doing a 1 year art improvement challenge,and the month of February I'm doing character design!

January was anatomy of the head and torso,but I won't post those for now because I want to try out nightshade (the ai protection software) to try and poison any potential ai algorithms who scrap art.

I haven't been able to download it yet,so I won't post any if that stuff yet.

Anyway!

I'm gonna be posting a lot more often now,or just irregularly because of funguary

The column was to like,symbolize greek mythology since I had recently got back into that (and dabbled in the religion). The gauntlet was Vi's gauntlet from arcane! I just love vi ♡

The sword is mizu's sword from blue eye samurai. I was just really obsessed with it with the time before or when I made this (I kinda forgot-)

This was a flat color, full piece based on the song suffering from EPIC: the musical.

I got into EPIC like a year ago in summer,two months (I think) before the thunder saga dropped,and it changed my life.

And I've been wanting to make some sort of art based on epic,but like many songs,characters, and other drawing projects,I didn't have time or the motivation to do so. Until last December.

EPIC also reinvigorated my interest in the greek mythos,and now I'm on the hunt for the odyssey to read it. (And with the help of OSP,I now want to read ALL of the "trilogy." I'm hunting for the illiad and the aeneid too :D)

Anyway,I wanted to portray odysseus's age,since he was away from home for 20 years. And the thunder saga took place 12 years after the Trojan war,and after all the other story stuff that happens-

So I added grey hairs to ody. I also tried to combine Jorge and odysessus statues to make the image of odysseus. I made the pieces color palette yellow,based on the thunder saga's cover art.

For Siren Penelope,I wanted to give reference to the original AND modern sirens by giving her feathers on her back and scales on her arm (which ody can't see). I also made her little cloaky cape red to contrast odysseus's blue (and to hint, "hey,this ISN'T penelope!".

I hope it's really obvious I loved making this and I'm a slight greek mythos (and EPIC) Nerd 🤓

Anyway,so for this assignment, we had to make an apocalyptic landscape scene and tell a story with it.

So,the story behind this piece is that a world was taken over by mysterious giant demons,who took over via poisonous flowers they grew everywhere. So now, a little girl has to fight them off and save the world.

I really LOVE how this piece turned out!

At the time,I was experimenting with color theory (still technically am),so I used a complentary color palette of purple and yellow to try and make contrast and highlight certain thinhs in the piece.

Like the little girl is a lighter purple than the flower demon,and the building surrounding her,and the demons yellow eye literally highlighting the little girl.

I used one of my two drawing tablets to draw this. The one I used was my screen less one,and I wanted to use it because I needed to work on my hand eye coordination,and because december was coming up,and there was a art challenge I wanted to participate in (which I never found prompts for and never ended up posting.). So the lineart was a little wobbly.

I liked the mystery and the main character herself because of the actress,Jenna ortega. And the way the rest of the Addams family looked in a different style.

Anyway

Since Wednesday in the series,and just in general, has greyscale clothing,I wanted to draw her in something different than the clothes we've seen in the series already while staying close to the greyscale pallette.

I think I did a good job (minus the gold,but we don't talk about it 👁👄👁)

I think I went to hard on her cheekbones lol

Naturally,I wanted to draw fanart AND analyze the series because the writing and details are just THAT good,but because of burnout or stress or maybe just laziness,I never got to it (like what happens with many movies or series I like-).

Mizu is my favorite character out of everyone because of how complex she and her story is! I'm really glad I finally got to draw fanart of her.

I might upload a small character and writing analysis on mizu here since I want to expand my page from just art to art and writing,and movie stuff.
