I was visiting a church because of the art when I came across this image. I found it deeply strange and unsettling. The human figure is dehumanized reduced to a torso and this is clearly not accidental.

It was positioned beside an altar representing the Catholic concept of hell, which intensified the sense of symbolic violence and loss of identity. The fragmentation of the body seemed to speak of punishment, guilt, and the denial of humanity.

From that, I got the idea for this artwork inspired by Homicidal Liu an incomplete, marked body, trapped between faith, pain, and condemnation not as gratuitous shock, but as visual language.
