Now I’ve added colour for the completed animation, I think I’d have definitely preferred a more sketched quality. I feel like the line thickness detracts from the piece somehow, although I’m unsure if that’s the case or just my own opinion on the style.
I feel as though I should’ve added more in-betweens as well, as in some places the characters look stiff and too quick. I think in order to prevent this from happening in the future I should look at the references I filmed more closely and just plan better for the actual animation over-all.
I feel like in this project I rushed everything a little, and that really detracted quality from my final outcomes.
I think I also could work on consistency, so my plan in the future is to study the human form more, especially in different and more unusual positions and from complex angles, so I can fully visualise a human in a 3 dimensional space. This would help if I animate characters turning or a change of perspective.
