anyway I just rewatched bad boys and I keep thinking about how dean is a horror story from sonny's perspective

"two months ago this 16 year old came in after attempting to steal bread with bruises on his wrists very obviously given to him by his father (even though he denies it and says it's from a werewolf, which could be a metaphor for his father periodically having bursts of anger and becoming a monster because I don't know monsters actually exist) and dean's been doing good in school and has a girlfriend he clearly loves now that he has someone who believes in him and a routine and can sleep in the same bed for more than a couple of nights, and on the evening he can finally be a normal teenager and experience normal teenager things his abuser father comes back demanding to take him away for vague reasons and when I go to talk the guy into coming back later I can see there's a younger kid in the backseat and is he being abused too? now dean is crying because he knows he has to go back to being abused and hungry enough to shoplift and maybe next time no one would try to bat for him when he gets arrested, and even though I'm trying to reach out to him and tell him he deserves better he goes anyway. and I can't do anything about it"
