Hello! random question but is it ok to submit patterns to the blog if they're free?
Yes, of course! In fact, that would be greatly appreciated!

Hey! I'm a knitting newbie, I've only been knitting about a year now. Are cables crazy hard? Do you know of a good tutorial online? Thanks
Hello! I'm so sorry I didn't see this message until now! Actually, cables aren't crazy hard at all! I personally thought that learning how to read charted cable patterns was a bit tricky, though. Here are some cool tutorials that I hope you find useful: Cabling tutorial with GIFs A very detailed cabling video tutorial An up-close picture cabling tutorial A video on cable charts Amazingly thorough written tutorial on charts If you only have a few stitches that you're cabling, you might find it easier to slip the stitches (purlwise) from the cable needle back to the left hand needle and then knit them, rather than just knitting them from the cable needle. And if you're looking to try out your newfound awesome cable skills: Five different twisty cables The Staghorn Cable A bunch of different cables Braided Knit Headband Garter Cable Wristlets Frosting Reversible Big Cable Scarf Pumpkin Spice One Cable Mitts Thank you for asking, and I hope you have a great day!
