for ritsumao my biggest one that ive talked abt a million times and ill say it again is that maos hair clip is a gift ritsu gave to mao when they were kids!!!!!!! it could be for multiple reasons either a birthday gift, a thank you gift for being his friend, an apology gift after a fight or even just because ritsu felt like gifting him something!! (i actually wrote the apology gift version on a fic <3). and mao of courseeee has worn the hair clip ever since then and cherishes it a lot bc it was a gift from ritsu and it also makes ritsu really happy to see that mao keeps wearing it even after all these years 💜 i am very normal abt that stupid hair accesory

for more headcanons i think theyd have a Big fight again right at the beginning of !! era. their last year at yumenosaki with the start of the es and their new life at the dorms and mao being the stuco president and just everything going on i think would be a lot of very sudden changes to ritsu and he wont like many of them, and together with the implications that he will have even Less maakun time this year bc theyre both busier i think it will make ritsu go back to those dark thoughts he had in band ensemble and fight with mao again. but slowly they make up and get closer again even more so than before and it reaches a point in which theyre not quite dating but they have a secret third thing going on and theyre comfortable like that but eventually they will have a talk to define their relationship and the most important thing out of it is that they confirm that they love each other and want to spend their lives side by side <3 in relation to this i do headcanon them both as ace (and mao sex repulsed btw!!) and arospec. and nonbinary ritsu and transmasc mao too :)

i also believe in ritsumao wedding!!!! ritsu has expressed many times he wants to marry mao and even proposed in seven bridges to which lets remember that mao didnt say no !!! i think that with how important promises are to ritsu he sees marriage as the strongest possible promise assuring that they will indeed be together forever. i think ritsu might propose the idea a few more times through the years and mao still doesnt say exactly yes but his excuses are weaker and weaker each time until one day mao is the one to propose to ritsu and ritsu is so happy he cant almost believe and he might be crying a little

also after they stop being idols i really like the idea of ritsu opening a bakery 💜 as for mao he might run the bakery together with ritsu and be in charge of the business/finances part instead of the baking which would be ritsus thing. but i could also see mao having a different job outside the bakery, not very sure which one tho

for 2wink i must admit i dont have that many hcs.... a dear one for me is that they paint each others nails and the different colored nail in each of them is so that they always have a little of their twin together with them (<- also wrote a fic abt it). mmm im also thinking that they probably shared a room at their house and so moving to different dorms at seisoukan might have been a refreshing change in a way but also they have a hard time adapting to it at first. they might go out in the middle of the night to the common room and find each other there bc they were both unable to fall asleep. and a few times they just end up falling asleep right there the two of them on the couch. also did they bring their cats to the dorms? im not sure but they def shouldddd
