Bit of a serious post because of the recent behind the scenes video Warner Bros. posted for the Supergirl movie.

And wow I am…. Incredibly disappointed?

They used AI for the concepts of Lobo’s design in the movie, you know how much I’m currently fuming over this? He’s a character that’s had tons of artists play around with his design following Simon Bisley’s redesign for his 1990 miniseries, only for them to use…. AI.

It’s already bad enough the director admitted he didn’t even check out Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, but wow, using genAI for a character that genuinely has decades worth of designs and artwork is actually insane.

Jim Lee even promised the company will not use AI, and then this shit happens.
