Last year, my dog and best friend in the universe died.

Then two human friends that I'd consider close to best friends but they made sure to always keep some distance from that term said to have a nice life and that they'd never speak to my wife and I again. I've agonized over it for over a year but the only thing that I think prompted it was they said we were too people pleasing, i asked for support after our dog died because I felt broken, they said no not now, I said I was trying to do what you asked what am I doing wrong, they said you misunderstood our instructions, and I said I didn't mean to make them mad. We got 3 weeks of silence and then years of friendship over in a few sentences. I'm not over it

I also got married! That's been great. My wife understands me in a way that I've never experienced.

The ex-friends were supposed to be my wife and I's bridesmaids so we each only had our maids of honor. It felt lonely.

I go to grief group and individual therapy each once a week.

I run once and strength train three times a week. I actually enjoy feeling active and fit, which is wild.
