while i’m on my #critsoapbox another thing I personally don’t care for is acting like every single thing the band does is some kind of deeper statement on an internal state we really have no way of knowing for sure like we talk a lot about the ways in which gerard has had the type of misogyny creatives in the music space often face applied to them and iiiiii think one of those ways is assuming they cannot possibly be storytelling in a deliberate and intellectual and REMOVED way and must he conjuring from some deep emotionally intimate intuitive place… like where’s that one mitski interview
