honestly i couldn't have asked for a better ending. i was getting a little tired of the jax storyline but finally unearthing what was at the root of the problem kind of inverted that, and softened me to him totally. or should i say her?

i was reallyyy gritting my teeth hoping praying they didn't go too much into the IRL side of things and they didn't. it was a great balance.

ALSO. seeing it on the big screen was so fucking cool. so immersive. it sounded great (a couple of sharp/treble-y wind instruments but whatevs)

the bit that made me cry was when pomni said 'actually in here i'm just pomni,' and it got me so emotional thinking abt my online community/persona vs. the one outside in the real world and how i measure my happiness as the internet me vs the 'real' me. but actually they're 2 parts of the same whole. also getting emotional about how my friends are In Here too, and the stuff we build together, how it's just as meaningful as what we do outside.

and also the whole Ego Death thing

anyway. indie animation is awesome i'd see 100 of these a year vs the nostalgia shlock they throw out every quarter
